Do あなた think its wise to think about the age range あなた are 書く to when あなた are writing?
This may be a stupid question, and in my opinion, あなた should. Because if あなた are 書く a story for pre-teens and/or teens あなた should write were they will be able to understand.

So basically, When it comes to vocabulary, do あなた think あなた should keep in mind the age rage あなた are 書く for.

(I think so, I'm just wondering.

No.
Thinking about the age range will make it harder for あなた ro say what あなた want to say, to express what あなた want to express. Don't try to "dumb it down" for younger children, または the quality of your 書く will drop, too.

Write what あなた know. Write how あなた want to write. Your 書く is not a commercial product. It's taking YOUR ideas, YOUR thoughts, and YOUR feelings and putting them down on paper. あなた are using YOUR vocabulary. あなた are not 書く down anyone else's thoughts; あなた are not using anyone else's ideas, and あなた are not using anyone else's vocabulary.

Your story will be a great story if あなた write it the way あなた want to write it. Write it for people like YOU.

You're not 書く it for anyone but yourself-remember that, and you'll do great. :D

I do think it's wise, but at the same time, if あなた are 書く for teens, and you're using harder vocab. I think it's good for them to see those words. Maybe to expand vocabulary

I usually don't. For me, I write what I want to write, and then afterwards whatever age range it appeals to is fine with me. It just happens however it happens, I don't let it interfere with my writing. Anybody can read it.

Also, I feel like when あなた do that, it tends to your audience.

あなた definitely should keep the age range you're 書く for in mind when あなた write. I mean come on, if あなた want the book to be bought によって adults, it better not be written like a book for babies, they wont like it. Its also important the book be understandable to the people you're 書く the book for. A kid's book shouldn't use to many big words and no book should use words または concepts the readers won't understand.

Personally i think it depends. With me i let the story take me where it's going to go then i decide in the editing process. for instance i started out with this one story intended to be in the young adult genre but now as it's developed it might be もっと見る suited for a もっと見る mature audience.
but i have フレンズ that choose young adult and stick to it stricter than a marine DI.

I suppose, if あなた go into the story with a specific age range in mind and are determined to keep it that way.
