Ugh...

Everywhere around me at school, I see smoking, fighting, and cursing, I think it's ridiculous. Of course, I don't do any of that, I'm the one あなた may think of as a nerd. Unfortunately, によって today's standards, "being a nerd" actualy means "doing what's right."

I have musical talents, I can't be humble on that. I'm also pretty smart, I hardly ever study, but I've gotten honor roll all my life. When a lot of people think of me, they think of the talents I have, not my personality. And to me, personality is everything, and I think that's the way it was supposed to be. But all that matters today is someones looks and talents, and it bugs me. I guess I'm alone on that one...

And I'm nice. I purposely try to keep doors open for people, and I almost always say "thank you" または "please." Most people think that being nice is just keeping them out of their thoughts, または just not being a complete jerk to them. But I know what true kindness is about, and few people in my school actually are No one else seems to care about this one either...

Being a Christian is something I pride myself in. I go to church and youth group every week, and I strongly suggest everyone should, too. But lately, I've been starting to lose faith because of all the horrible things going on around me. I can't even remember the last time anything good came on the news that wasn't about some rich person; shootings, abuse, and murders are about all I ever see. I can't see why God would choose to do this to us. Of course, it doesn't seem to affect most people greatly, but it's making me realy depressed.

I've been close to committing suicide before, and I wouldn't be suprised if I did in the near future. No one else seems to do what's truly right, and I'm finding school pretty difficult to go through socially. I just don't find that most of the people are at all like me. Because of this, though, the フレンズ I do have are really good friends, and that's one thing I am happy about.

I always seem happy on the outside, but I have this gnawing inside of me, and it won't go away. I'm pretty good at hiding it, I'm always smiling and cracking horrible jokes, and I can definitely make other people smile. I feel so alone. There's not much I can do about it escept write an 記事 on here...

peterslover Keep your faith. As a church goer, you should have been taught that Almighty God isn't doing bad things to us. He does let it happen sometimes. I don't know why. But we can't question Him. We go to Him and pray for guidance and strength. As you may have been taught, the devil is strong on this the Earth...for now. Don't let the badness around get you down. Continue to do good, let the light of God shine through you. You are a witness onto the Lord. Someday you might change someone's life for the better! They want to experience the goodness of God, like you do. Keep strong.

Twilight_Dream i know EXACTLY how you feel. sometimes i just feel like giving up. i feel alone all the time too. but then i think of the Lord and all that he did for us and sacrificed so we could live. and it makes it a little more bearable to just keep going. i will pray for you, and if its not too much pray for me in return please.

Kaddison I can honestly say I totally get your point: I'm a smart privileged (with education, not an abundance of money) socially uber-active Christian Scout who believes that you get what you give and that being socially savvy, polite and good is the key to a happy existence. But considering the state of the world, I'm totally d'accord: It is a perverted age we live in where status counts more than personality. Why not quit it? I tell you why - your suicide comment prompts me to. It'd be throwing in the towel. Admitting defeat; but imagine if everyone who thought like you did it. Because they deem themselves ultimately too good for this mess. The ratio would be even more screwed up. You can't change people. But you can live according to what you think ist right, what allows you to watch yourself in the mirror in the morning - be good - and hope it will rub off. I believe we can. And bear in mind that you are not the only person in the world struggling with this, many are. Pushing through this, facing and overcoming this crisis is what really makes you a good person. Because anyone can be good if he is never tempted to go bad or lose faith. As for me: I guess our world is not ideal. But despite what the - very very subjective and picking-biased - news coverage'd like to make us believe there is so much good in the world and I can be part of that by giving back to the communities that shaped me. hannah_vampire dont worry i know how u feel too i have fighting around me and smoking and most of it is at my skool which sucks but me and my friends dont do it but werre sick of it and it gets hard sometimes but keep hold of urself and im a Christian and i go to a public skool called evans high but i have my friends and my faith to help me so hold on =)
