Happy October everyone. In celebration lets talk about one of the best October films, scream..

I don't think the late Wes Craven realized just how relevant this movie would end up. What with Columbine shooting, Colorado theatre shooting, and the constant scapegoating of violent media instead of accepting fault.. Hell it even inspired some assholes to dress up as GhostFace and attempt real life killing sprees..

All that, It truly makes the film hold up. That and all the classic Wes Craven goodness.

So the film starts off によって famishly killing off Drew Barrymore after all the advertisements of the time focused heavily on her popularity of the time. Killing off well liked and 人気 stars is far もっと見る 人気 now o the shock is gone. But it still remains a surprisingly tense and unnerving sequence. Especially for a self aware comedy.. Wes Craven still kept the horror. All the もっと見る sadness he's gone, not many can repeat that perfect mix as well as he did..

We now follow a bunch of self aware trope lamp shading characters, and our main character is a PTSD stricken murder witness of her mother's death, who's ''not suspicious at all'' boyfriend becomes もっと見る insensitive about because he thinks with his penis, and his penis ain't too bright..

The film seems to go out of it's way to make Billy as suspicious and creepy as possible, so the reveal would be too obvious. Like Micah Bell.. Yet it 'is' him.. But the fact they seemingly killed him off only to have him return and 'than' be revealed. That's the part that works.. And than the one probably nobody suspected is revealed to be the 秒 killer.. The crazy Matthew Lillard character, who still remains one of the most watchable parts of the film..

"OWW! あなた fucking hit me with the phone, DICK!"

The sequel continues the trend of surprisingly relevance and, and some say they liked it even better.

It's all abut scapegoating media, and mothers being blind to their child's true nature.. あなた see it all the time. Mothers who constantly insist their children are perfect angels, when usually they are opposite..

It also discus's copycats.. And another relevant issue thanks to Columbine..


That's really all I had to say. I don't have much to say about the actual films without just repeating the whole plot, which is too much work for very little reward.

So I guess I'll just end it there..
