She sat, completely silent, on her couch. It was one in the morning and, again, she couldn't sleep.For the last week it had been like this. She went to work, acted strong for everyone there, came home, attempted to sleep and be a normal person, and then ended up on her couch, thinking.

Her compartmentalizing wasn't working either. She could be hunched over a dead body, または 読書 a book, または talking to Angela, and suddenly the three words she hated the most came to mind: Booth is gone.

Booth is gone. There was another word to add to that, to make it completely true, but she couldn't bare to say it, even if it was just in her head. And she couldn't help but tell herself, every time he came to mind, that she couldn't have cared as much as she seems to have.
