"Brennan." 発言しました Temperance, holding her cell phone to her ear while she searched for the correct folder. "Booth, I told あなた already, i can't come over until after work, there was a break. Did I leave the case file at the house last night. I can't seem to find it..."
"Bones, there's nothing in the fridge and I'm starving. Can't あなた like pick up some chips and drop them off? Please?" whined Booth through the phone.
"Or あなた could get off your 尻, お尻 and go get yourself some chips. I'm sorry, you're just a very high maintenance sick person. I'll ask Jason if we can stop on the way to the FBI. We're questioning her ex-boyfriend. Her mother 発言しました he was morbid and always dreamed up ways to kill people." replied Brennan as she jogged out of her office, having found the file.
"Thanks, Bones. Be sure to tell Sweets everything about the guy. または bring him to the interrogation. See あなた in a bit."
Brennan closed her phone as she got into Jason's car. "Can we stop at the diner? I need to pick something up for Booth. Apparently there's no 食 in my house."
"I thought he forgot who あなた were. And why isn't he staying in his own house?" responded Williams as he turned onto a 22nd street.
"He remembered. He 発言しました he wanted to be close to the lab in case something happened. He's just trying to make up for what happened, though. He's still pretty out of it, so it's not like he'd be able to help me anyway."
Brennan stood in the darkened room on the other side of the interrogation room. The suspect's story couldn't be trusted, and Sweets rambled on as Williams continued the investigation.
"He's nervous. Do あなた see how he keeps changing positions?...How's Booth? Are あなた still not speaking with him?" added Sweets, tearing his eyes away from the window in front of them.
"He's staying with me. Does that mean he's guilty? Being nervous, what does it mean?"
"He's antsy, he knows he's answering these 質問 incorrectly. He knows he's a suspect. He keeps shrugging. He's lying. Wait, he's staying with you? That's not professional." 発言しました Sweets, a look of confusion and surprise on his face.
"He's lying," Brennan 発言しました into the microphone that led to an earpiece in Jason's ear. "Why isn't it professional? He can't drive, so it's logical that he stay with someone with groceries. And staying with me means he has human interaction. He'd hate living living with Rebecca because it would be awkward, Sid doesn't have an extra room. It's logical for him to stay with me."
"Dr. Brennan, partners don't usually interact outside of work, not like あなた and Agent Booth do. Has anything happened since...?"
"No, Sweets. Booth and I are just partners." 発言しました Brennan in an irritated tone.
"Booth, I'm home!" Brennan called as she made a sandwich. When he didn't respond she wandered into the living room to find Booth asleep on the couch, the remote hanging limply from his hand. She smiled to herself and walked over to him, leaning over to pull a blanket up to his chest. She took a quick シャワー and placed herself in the アームチェア, 肘掛け椅子 次 to the ソファー, ソファ to work on the case.
About an 時 later, Booth stirred, mumbling something about Parker and monkeys. He yawned, stretching out on the couch. Once he was done he looked over at her, smiling. "When'd あなた get back?"
"A while ago. Are あなた hungry? There's stuff for sandwiches in the fridge." she said, then turned back to the papers in front of her. She sighed, put them on the table. "I was talking to Sweets earlier." she 発言しました as he ambled toward the kitchen.
"Yeah? What about? Is there any mustard in here?" he added as he looked in the fridge for it.
"It's on the 上, ページのトップへ shelf. He asked about you. He 発言しました that あなた staying here is un-professional of us."
"Yeah, well that's Sweets for you. What'd あなた tell him? Where's the ham? You're organization in here is terrible." he replied jokingly.
"Booth it's on the 上, ページのトップへ shelf. Do あなた need help? I 発言しました we were just partners. He never believes it, but he stoped talking." she 発言しました as she walked over and pulled the ham, as well as the cheese, out of the fridge.
"Yeah, poor kid. He just eats shit up, whether we make it up または not.Remember that time we went on a double 日付 with him and that 魚 lady?" he 発言しました as he fixed his サンドイッチ and took a bite.
"Yeah. He was so proud of himself, until they started fighting. Are あなた staying up? I think I'll go to bed, it's already midnight."
"Yeah, I'm gonna stay up a little. I'll lock up and stuff. 'Night." he 発言しました with a smile, mustard on the corner of his chin. It took a lot of will power for Brennan to stay where she was instead of reaching over and wiping it away, but she refused to prove Sweets correct. Just partners, that's it. Even if something did happen, we'd have to act like nothing did. I wonder if we could pull it off...
"'Night." she said, smiling back.
