In light of the actual “fairy tale trend” in TV and movie, I recently realized how much the ディズニー 映画 have “taken over” the fairy tales they are based on, and how few people actually know the story they are based on. Because of this, I’ll compare the Disney-Version with the 情報源 text, and I’ll recommend a few other adaptations I really like. I’ll only take a look at the fairy tales – meaning I’ll skip Pocahontas and Mulan, since they are not part of my culture. Perhaps someone who grew up with those stories is ready to do a small piece about them?

Considering that ディズニー seems to stay very close to the 情報源 text, they actually changed quite a lot about Snow White’s story. First of all, they skipped the beginning. In that one, the クイーン (the good one) is sitting in the winter at the window stitching. She stings herself in the finger, and three drops of blood fall in the snow. This inspires her to wish for a child, as white as snow, as red as blood and as black as ebony (like her stitching または the window frame, that’s not really clear). Then she dies shortly after Snow White’s birth. To defend Disney: The original Fairy Tale never explains what happens to the father; after he remarries, he just vanishes from the story. When the main story starts, Snow White is only seven (numbers are somewhat important, the three and the seven turns up a couple of times). She never sings into a wishing well, and she never meets the prince before the hunter is send out to murder her (and again, he also just vanishes from the story). Snow White does not clean the ホーム of the dwarves, in fact she (quite rudely) rummages through the house, sits on the chair of one of them, eats the パン of another – I spare あなた the details. The dwarves (who don’t have names または different personalities) come home, discover what she has done and then find her in one of the beds, and she live with them from that point onward – it’s not really clear how long, but the Evil クイーン turns up at her doorstep three times to kill her. With a ボディス, 胴着 she puts so tight around Snow Whites body that she nearly suffocates, with a poisoned comp and finally with the apple. Two times the dwarves come ホーム in time, the third time they are too late, and they put Snow White in the coffin. A prince hears about the beautiful maid in the coffin, visits her and is so fascinated によって her beauty, that he convinces the dwarves to give him the coffin (why he wants to stare at the death body, never mind how beautiful it is, I really don’t want to guess). THERE IS NO KISS! When the dwarves transport the coffin, one stumbles, and a piece of 林檎, アップル with was lodged in Snow White throat falls out. She awakes, marries the prince, and when the Evil クイーン hears from her mirror that the young bride is もっと見る beautiful than her, she comes to the wedding. There she is forced to dance glowing iron shoes until she is death (compared to that falling down, getting crushed and getting eaten によって vultures sounds like the better alternative).

There have been a lot of discussions in which country the movie is set. My answer is: In ディズニー Fairy Tale Land. The architecture of the 城 and the デザイン of the dwarves’ house would fit in some parts of Germany または German speaking countries like Switzerland, no question. But the wildlife does not. The only kind of カメ あなた can find (rarely) in Germany is much smaller and can’t stay out of the water for any length of time. Reptiles are not exactly common in general, considering the cold climate, especially not alligators. Chipmunks are native to Asia and North America, Bluebirds live only in America. And those are just the most obvious examples. Not that I blame ディズニー (much). Back then, it would have been impossible to do a trip to Germany, and it's easier to draw what あなた have seen in reality than to rely on pictures.

A word about the dwarves: There is sometimes a little bit confusion, because the タイトル says dwarves, while in the movie they are referred to as “little people”. I’m not sure if either word really has the same connotation for an English speaking audience, as the word “Zwerg” has for the German one. If we hear “Zwerg” we tend to think about the Snow White Characters and about “Gartenzwerge” – known in English as “garden gnomes”. I suspect both translations used for the movie are somewhat right and somewhat wrong.

I’ve to say, I dislike most of the adaptations of the story, especially those who emphasize the ゴシック aspect. But there is one beside of the one from ディズニー I really like: The German version from 1955. It might not be political correct nowadays, because one of the added characters is a stereotypical black servant boy, but it has it’s very own charm overall. It’s very close to the 情報源 text; the only thing they changed is Snow White’s age, the death of the クイーン and roles of the Hunter and the Prince got expanded to avoid some of the plot holes. In this regard, I think, this version is actually better than the ディズニー one – less characters who just fade into the background. To my great surprise, I discovered that there actually is an English dubbed version of it (not a good one, but better than nothing), it was even issued on DVD. If you’re interested, あなた can watch it here:

I know everyone and their grandma has written one of these, but I have yet to write my official 一覧 until now, and I swore I was never gonna do one of these. For some reason, I just couldn't sit down and nit-pick about who I liked the most または who I like the least. But now I've finally broken down and forced myself to sit down and sort this crap out (Even thought I have much better things that I should be doing right now...) BUT ANYWAYS, the order of this 一覧 has been bouncing around in my head for months and I've been over-analyzing every frickin' princess. So, if あなた haven't gotten sick...

The Little Mermaid is a 2023 live-action film that's a remake of 1989's Little Mermaid animated film. Live-action ディズニー remakes have gotten a lot of mixed reception. They tend to make lots of money, but they also tend to get mixed reviews. When it comes to the remakes, I've enjoyed a fair number of them. I didn't care for some of them, such as Aladdin, Lady and The Tramp and Mulan. However, there have been some remakes that I enjoyed, such as Cinderella, Dumbo and both Maleficent films. Also, the live-action ディズニー Alice in Wonderland films are two of my お気に入り films.

Mermaids are something...

The first アナと雪の女王 film made such a big impact on me that I became very excited for a sequel. The sequel ended up coming out about six years after the first film. This was because the makers of アナと雪の女王 planned on アナと雪の女王 being a standalone story. However, after coming up with an idea that they thought was good enough, they decided to make a 秒 film. I'm so glad that they made the decision to do that.

In the 秒 film, Elsa has started hearing a mysterious voice. She attempts to find out where the voice is coming from. In the process of doing so, she gets into contact with the spirits of the...

アナと雪の女王 is a ディズニー animated film that I kind of like. When I say kind of, what I actually mean is that I 愛 it! It's a film that I've seen もっと見る times than anybody probably should. I used to watch this film もっと見る than once a week. It's a film that quickly grew quite the fanbase. I was certainly one of those ファン that quickly got attached to the film.

Frozen centers around the bond between two princess sisters, who are named Anna and Elsa, that go on quite a unique adventure. Elsa was born with ice powers, but she's been ordered to keep that a secret. However, when Anna attempts to marry a prince...

ムーラン is considered a ディズニー princess and I find that ridiculous because if ムーラン is a ディズニー princess why not Elsa and Anna? ムーラン has the characteristics of a hero and a princess, but there is a reason that prevents her from being a princess.
Although she is フレンズ with an emperor, that does not make her a princess. Either she would be a royal によって birth, または she would marry a prince and earn the タイトル of princess. Being a hero doesn't make a princess, does it? This is really silly. There are a lot of other female characters at ディズニー who do great heroics, but they're not even one step closer to being princesses. What a great injustice. What a pity. While I 愛 Mulan, ムーラン is overrated.
I haven't written an 記事 for two days, let's say I couldn't finish it. Actually, I had an 記事 for あなた that ranked princess hair from worst to best, but I thought あなた might not like it. So I have a better idea. This 記事 is about changing the Colors(色) of Rapunzel and Ariel. Their hair, lips and eyes.

I actually 愛 their color palettes/some of my お気に入り princesses/, and I'm 書く this 記事 just for fun. Let's start with Rapunzel.

Naturally, Rapunzel has golden hair and green eyes. But now let's try Ariel's color palette. Let Rapunzel have red lipstick, red hair, and blue eyes....

I LITTERALLY just got done watching the movie, and I must say-I was pleasantly surprised. ディズニー really got creative with this one. I see it winning some Academy Awards 次 year. That was just a bit of what I thought all together. Now, let's get to the real deal.

The animation:

I like how they used what looked like some 2D アニメーション in the beginning and during some parts of the movie. It gives, not only me, but I'm sure a bunch of you, hope that 2D アニメーション isn't dead. I also liked how they all these 虹 like Colors(色) when the ドラゴン get resurrected. (Am I the only one who was obsessed with...
