Chapter 4. Half-Breed

"Yea it's me, I'm guessing Jacob already told あなた why I'm like this." Charlie 発言しました walking towards Billy.
"Yea, I told him everything." Jacob 発言しました looking at Billy.
"You look like you're doing alright." Billy said, and then he saw me, によって his expression, I'm guessing Jacob didn't tell him about me.

"Yea umm I kinda didn't tell him about あなた Bella." Jacob said, his cheeks were getting red.

"But why are あなた one of them?" He asked still staring, Charlie looked back at me.
"Well, I'm the reason Charlie is a vampire, I wanted to stay with Edward forever, and he refused to change me. So I came up here and I put my mortality to a vote and most of them 発言しました yes. Carlisle was going to change me, but then I asked Edward to do it and he 発言しました yes I was unconsious for three days, the venom was horible. They sent out a 検索 team for me. "Yea I do.Thank あなた Bella for not letting him go, I don't think I could take that, I mean sure, you're a vampire, but I won't let that come between our friendship." Billy 発言しました looking at me then back at Charlie.
"No problem." I 発言しました looking at Billy as Edward put his arms around me from behind and kissed the 上, ページのトップへ of my head, I put my hands on his.
"Well we are just going to leave あなた two to talk." Edward 発言しました smiling.

Charlie and Billy talked for a good three hours then Jacob came back into the living room and told Billy that they needed to go because it was getting late. Edward and I walked back into the living room, we had been in the キッチン discussing how we would tell everyone about our engagement.
"Hey umm Bella, I'm starting to get thirsty again, can we go hunting?" Charlie 発言しました scratching the back of his head.
"Uh yea we were just comming in here to ask if あなた wanted to go hunting with us." Edward 発言しました looking at me then back at Charlie. This would be the first time that Charlie had hunted with anyone other than Carlisle.
We ran a good distance into the woods when we spotted a small herd of deer. Charlie stood over beside us with a look of guilt on his face, me and Edward were just going in for the kill when a feeling of guilt washed over me. I felt like I couldn't harm a living creature, no matter how thirsty I was. I looked over at Edward and he looked the same way. Edward looked over at Charlie and read his mind. I grabbed Edward's hand and read his thoughts.
Charlie doesn't want to see あなた attack and drain the life out of a poor inocent deer. Edward read off of Charlie's mind. I figured out Charlie's talent at that moment and so did Edward. I let go of his hand.
"Dad, stop concentrating on us for a second." I 発言しました and Charlie looked away.
The feeling disappeared and Edward and grabbed our meal before Charlie looked back at us.

After we ate we went back to the house, Edward and I needed to talk to Charlie.
"Charlie, we've figured out what your talent is." Edward 発言しました looking at me then back at Charlie.
"What is it?" Charlie 発言しました skeptically.
"Well, when we were in the woods hunting, there was a reason that I told あなた to stop concentrating on me and Edward." I 発言しました looking at Charlie. My body was starting to tingle; I blew it off and thought nothing of it.
"When あなた concentrate on someone hard eneough, あなた can make a feeling of guilt wash over the person, making them unable to harm anything または anyone." Edward 発言しました looking deep into Charlie's deep crimson red eyes.
"It's li-" I started to say, but a deep pain surged through my body I took in one deep breath and then everything went black, the ground swirled in to my face and the last thing I heard was Edward calling Carlisle before everything went black. Then I sunk into a painful sleep.





I woke up to the sound of a beeping noise in Carlisle's 'minature' hospital in the upstairs portion of the house. I had no idea how long I had been asleep, I thought I would never sleep again, so this would probally be the last time I woke up again. I looked down and there was an IV in my hand something was wrong. The first person I saw was Edward but something was missing, immediatly I sat up.
"Edward!" I 発言しました alert and not calm, the pain returned and I layed back down to ease the pain. It had felt like someone had attacked me.
"Carlisle!" Edward yelled alarmed.
"Edward, why am I hurting so bad?" I 発言しました through the pain that still surged through my body.
Carlisle appeared in the room.
"You're awake, good. Edward I think あなた might need to tell her what happened, あなた were there with her and she might take it a little better if あなた told her." Carlisle said, a look of sorrow on his face.
"Bella, you've been attacked, Victoria had a twin sister, Laraun and she was angry that we destroyed Victoria, she wanted payback. She can reverse the power of vampire venom and make a vampire half vampire and half human; that's her talent and that is what she has done to you. After that she grabbed one of the knife's out of the キッチン and ripped a giant hole in your back, It might have damaged あなた spinal cord, and a good three inches of the ナイフ broke off into your back. She also tried to kill Charlie." Edward said. My Brain focused on one word, Charlie; she tried to kill Charlie. I winced at the pain that still surged through my body. Edward cringed away at the sight of me in pain.
"Charlie- is he okay?" I 発言しました franticly through the pain.
Carlsile was pumping fluid through a clear medicine bag that was attached to the IV.
"Yes Bella, her talent didn't work on him, it works on very few ヴァンパイア all he has is a few cuts.
"How do あなた feel Bella?" Carlisle 発言しました as Edward held my hand.
"I'm hurting; bad. I'm human now?" I 発言しました as tears filled my eyes. The only reason I ever changed into a vampire and went through all of that pain was for Edward so we could be together forever, and now I wasn't going to live forever.
"Only half human half vampire; a half-breed. I've done some reading, and your still immortal, your ハート, 心 has restarted itself and is pumping blood again and your tear ducts are working again. Your skin is now warm, but not completely hot as a normal human's would be. Instead of sparkling in the sunlight, your skin gives off a glow and it is as strong as a vampire's. Your eyes are still golden and あなた are still very, very strong like a vampire. So basically, あなた are still one of us but あなた just have some human traits now." Carlsile 発言しました looking worried that I was crying.
"I'm still immortal? I'll never change again?" I 発言しました as もっと見る tears rolled down my cheeks.
"No Bella, you'll never change again, あなた are アナと雪の女王 in time as あなた are right now. Even if your ハート, 心 for some reason stops, you'll still live, あなた will never die. Isn't that what あなた wanted?" Edward 発言しました as he held my hand.
"Oh no Edward!" I 発言しました as I reached around- fighting through the pain- and hugged Edward. I squeezed my eyes shut to maybe survive the pain. The horrible stabbing pain raced through my body. I layed back down almost immediatly
"What's wrong Bella?" Edward 発言しました concerned of my strange mood as he wiped the tears from my eyes.
"I though that when あなた 発言しました 'half human and half vampire' I thought that meant that I wouldn't be immortal anymore and I wouldn't get to spend eternity with あなた like I want too." I said, still fighting the pain that surged through my body as I winced.
"Oh Bella, あなた are still going to be able to spend eternity with me, if あなた had died, instead of bieng turned into just half human, I couldn't live. I 愛 You. There is nothing that can rip me away from you. Nothing can come between us." Edward 発言しました as he kissed the 上, ページのトップへ of my forehead.
"Without you, I have nothing to live for." Edward 発言しました looking into my revived soul.
"I 愛 あなた too Edward." I 発言しました looking deep into his eyes.
He sat down in the chair beside the ベッド and continued to hold my hand as if to say, 'I'm here Bella and I'll never leave your side.' That made some of the pain go away. But there was one 質問 left.
"What about Victoria's sister?" I 発言しました with large amounts of concern in my voice as I took my other hand and wiped a tear from my eye.
"Emmett and Jasper ワカサギ, 錬金術 Laraun and came to destroy her, but right after あなた passed out she ran away, I wanted to help them hunt for her, but I was too concerned about you." Edward 発言しました looking at Carlsile, who was taking my pulse.
"Where is Rosalie, Alice, and Esme?" I 発言しました curious.
"They went shopping after we got back from hunting. They don't know about this yet." Edward 発言しました looking back at me.
"Bella, I need to sew your back up ,get that ナイフ tip out, and see what other damage she has done. I just put some steri strips on The gash to シール it so あなた wouldn't loose anymore blood than あなた already have. I'm going to put あなた to sleep for awhile. Edward will still be right here によって your side when あなた wake up." Carlisle 発言しました as Edward put both hands on mine.
"I 愛 あなた and I'll be here when あなた wake up." Edward whispered as he kissed my forehead. Carlisle started pumping もっと見る clear liquids down the I.V. My eyes started to feel heavy, then everything went black as I drifted off into a deep sleep.




I woke up to the annoying beeping sound. Immediatly I looked over and Edward wasn't there, I paniced. I sat up and looked around, I was alone. Pain shot up my back and into my whole body I layed back down helplessly.
"Edward, Carlisle!" I nearly screamed, Carlisle appeared 次 to my bed.
"Bella, what's wrong?." Carlsile 発言しました alarmed.
"Where's Edward!?" I 発言しました franticly.
"Laraun has come back and she has taken Charlie. He went with the others to try to find them, Jacob and his フレンズ are outside surrounding the house in case she comes back here." Carlisle 発言しました soothingly. Tears rolled down my cheeks.
Charlie- she took Charlie and Edward is looking for that deranged, crazy, maniac of a vampire.
"She took Charlie?!" I 発言しました as a mixture of anger and worry came into my voice. もっと見る tears streamed down the side of my face, I took my hand and wiped them away, as I lifted my arm, pain surged into my back.
"Yes, but Edward and the others will find them. Okay? Don't worry, によって tonight Charlie will be back, trust me, Edward knows how much あなた 愛 Charlie, and he will find him no matter what. Just don't try to get up okay? I don't want those stitches comming out." Carlisle 発言しました with sympothy in his voice. He placed his hand on my shoulder.
He saw the panic creeping back into my eyes.
"Everything is going to be okay. I'll go get Jacob, he has been very worried about you." Carlsile 発言しました as he walked out of the room. Charlie was gone. Why did I have to be so selfish. If I hadn't of made the choice for Edward to turn me, we could still be at ホーム watching baseball on the flatscreen and eating cobler every afternoon at the diner. Carlsile stepped into the room with Jacob in tow.
"Bella are あなた feeling okay?" He 発言しました as he came into the room.
"No I feel like crap." I 発言しました jokingly trying to lighten the mood and get my mind off of Charlie and Edward. I wish that Jasper was here. Jacob chuckled as he sat down at the foot of the bed.
"So あなた and Edward finnaly killed Victoria?" Jacob 発言しました with a sigh.
"Well, actually Edward was the one to kill her. She had even made two newborns to help destroy me, that's how bad she wanted me dead." I 発言しました as my thoughts flickered to the memories I still had of her, I wish that I could just lock them in the farthest corner of the realm of my mind and just never remember them again. To just forget those awfull memories.
"That would explain why her twin sister wants to kill you, she probally thought that あなた killed Victoria." Jacob 発言しました with another sigh.
"I hope Edward finds Laraun and Charlie, I swear if she puts one finger on Charlie, if she harms him in any way-" I started to say before I was interupted によって Carlisle.
"Jacob! Come outside, it's Laraun, she's here, with Charlie!" Carlisle 発言しました alarmingly as he appeared in the room suddenly.
"I'll be back." Jacob 発言しました as he jogged out of the doorway.
"Bella, I need to go and help them, I'll be back with Edward soon okay, don't worry, we'll get Charlie back unharmed." Carlisle 発言しました as he checked the IV pole and dissapeared out the doorway.
I didn't want to think about what was going on outside. Millions of thoughts and 未回答 質問 rushed into my mind like a flood. Is Charlie going to be okay? What about Edward? I hope he is going to be okay. What about jacob and the rest of the pack? They sh- My thoughts were interupted によって a crash followed によって a ripping noise. Immediatly I thought about Edward and Charlie, they were the two most important things on my mind right now. Everything went silent.
Cahrlie appeared at the doorway.
"Bella." Charlie breathed as he came into the room.
"Dad!" I 発言しました as I tried to reach around to hug him, but the pain held me back.
"Are あなた okay?" I 発言しました looking up into Charlie's crimson red eyes as Carlisle came into the room and Edward followed behind him.
"Yea, I'm fine." Charlie 発言しました as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where's Edward!?" I 発言しました very concerned over him.
"Bella!" Edward 発言しました as he appeared quickly at my bedsaide.
"Edward!" I 発言しました as I fought through the pain and reached up to hug him. The pain and agony that surged through my body like an electric current was unbearable. As he was hugging his arms around me, I had to lay back down. I squeezed my eyes shut in pain.
"Laraun is gone, あなた don't have to worry about her anymore and she can't cause あなた anymore pain." Edward 発言しました as our lips met for a brief moment.
"Where is Jacob and the others?" I 発言しました worried.
"Jacob had told Billy where he was going before he came up here him the rest of the pack and Jacob went back to tell Billy and Emily that they were okay. Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, and Emmett went to check the surrounding woods to make sure laraun didn't create any フレンズ for backup." Edward 発言しました smiling as he sat down on the foot of the bed.
"I'm so happy that あなた are okay Bells!" Charlie 発言しました as he leaned on the ウォール on the right of me.

"It was like Laraun wanted to die, she just needed something to motivate us to kill her, she sure did motivate us." Edward 発言しました as he looked over his shoulder at Carlisle walked into the room then back at Charlie.

"Yea, she 発言しました quote, "I have been trying to kill myself ever since I heard that Victoria died, she was the only thing that kept me from killing myself, she didn't want me to die. Kill me now または I'll hurt your little friend here." I didn't know what to do at that point, but I had so much anger built up that she hurt あなた that I just lunged at her. Then she let go of Charlie. She had no will to live." Edward 発言しました looking at me then at Charlie.
"I tried to fight back at her, but she kept me in a head-lock, and no matter how hard I tried to escape, she just kept dragging me along." Charlie 発言しました shaking his head in pity at his own strength.
"That's just not right." I 発言しました looking at Carlisle.
"So how are あなた feeling?" Charlie 発言しました as he sat down in the chair beside my ベッド and put his hand over mine.
"I'm still in alot of pain." I 発言しました looking at Charlie.
"O and Bella, I found the tip of the ナイフ and got it out. And when the ナイフ went into your back, it came about a quarter of an inch close to damaging a critical vein and your spinal cord. It landed right in between the two. I stitched your back up so try not to 移動する around alot. But other than that, あなた should be just fine. Carlisle 発言しました as he came over to me and held a light up to my eyes and told me to look at his finger. Then he put his stethescope to my chest.

"Why did Laraun's power work on me and not the others?" I 発言しました looking at Edward, Charlie, and then back at Carlsile.
"It only works on certain people. Why it worked on あなた and nobody else is a mystery I guess." Carlisle 発言しました shrugging.
"You don't know how hapy I am to see that あなた are okay, I thought that she had- killed -you, but when あなた opened your eyes if I could cry; if that were possible in my physical state, I would have been in tears." Edward 発言しました as he took my hand in his. He winced when he 発言しました the word 'killed' It put him in pain to think of me dead.
"Edward, should we tell them?" I 発言しました looking at Edward, then Charlie, then Carlisle. Edward nodded.
"Tell us what?" Charlie 発言しました suspicious.
"What is it?" Carlisle 発言しました looking as suspicious as Charlie.
"We're engaged." Edward 発言しました taking a deep breath, as a smile spread across our faces, Charlie's face lit up and so did Carlisle's.
"That's wonderful! Congradulations." Carlsile 発言しました putting his hand on my shoulder, as he smiled from ear to ear.
"When are ya'll gonna have the wedding?" Charlie 発言しました smiling and excited.
"Well, we don't really now yet." I 発言しました taking a deep breath.
"Well, today is May 12th. What about the June 13th? あなた are going to need time to heal." Edward 発言しました looking at me, then at Charlie.
"That will work for me. That should give us enough time to plan the wedding." I 発言しました smiling at Edward.
"Just wait till Alice hears about this." Carlisle 発言しました chuckling.
"She's gonna go nuts." Charlie mused laughing along with Carlisle. Edward and I laughed at the thought.
Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, and Esme came into the room.
"Laraun is gone. How are あなた feeling Bella?" Jasper 発言しました looking at me.
"I still hurt alot when I try to move." I 発言しました looking at Edward then at Jasper.
"Laraun really took a toll on あなた didn't she?" Esme 発言しました worried.
"Yea, she really put the hurt on me." I 発言しました taking a deep breath of air.
"What was her talent anyways?" Rosalie 発言しました holding Emmett's hand.
"She can reverse the power of vampire venom, therefore making a vampire half-human, half-vampire." Edward 発言しました looking at Rosalie, then he turned his head back around to look at me.
"That means......." Rosalie trailed off, then comprehenson flickered onto her face.
"Bella is a half-breed. Her ハート, 心 is pumping blood again therefore giving her cheeks a blush of pink. Her skin is still strong, and so is she, she just has some minor changes." Carlisle 発言しました looking at Rosalie.
"But Charlie was around her for some time, doesn't that mean he is a half-breed too?" Emmett 発言しました looking a little confused.
"No, it didn't work on me." Charlie 発言しました looking somewhat confused like Emmett.
"But that doesn't make any sense." Alice 発言しました looking at Carlislse.
"I know, but I don't know why it only changed Bella and not the rest of us." Carlisle 発言しました loking at Alice, then back at me then at Charlie.
"Bella, needs to rest, we should go." Jasper 発言しました guesturing towards the stairwell.
"Bye Bella I'l be back to check up on あなた after while." Esme 発言しました smiling.
"Yea, I'll come check on あなた later too." Alice 発言しました as Jasper pulled her towards the stairs with the others, then they all vanished.
"But I don't want to rest, I feel fine." I 発言しました reassuringly.
"Bella, if あなた don't go to sleep now and get some rest, all of the energy that Laraun took out of あなた will make あなた crash. I'll still be here when あなた wake up." Edward 発言しました brushing soem hair out of my face with his hand.
"No, I'm fine." I 発言しました looking at Edward, I didn't want to go back to sleep, I felt fine.
Carlsile dashed out of the room and then was back in a スプリット, 分割 秒 with a bag of fluids in his hand.
"I'm sorry Bella, but あなた need your rest, あなた can't just stay awake あなた ned energy." Carlisle 発言しました as he started pumping the clear liquid down the IV. My body went cold as I sunk into a deep painless sleep.





I slowly opened my eyes and the first thing I heard was the annoying beeping sound again.
"Edward." I 発言しました grogily as I took a deep breath and looked over and saw Edward sitting in the chair beside the bed.
"Morning Bella." Edward 発言しました smiling.
"It's morning?" I 発言しました confused and disoriented.
"Yes, Carlisle put あなた to sleep at five PM, あなた slept all night long. But Bella, I have some news, I'm not sure if this is good または bad, but Renee wants to visit. She called Charlie last night, her and Phill got divorced." Edward 発言しました putting his hand on mine.
"But she can't visit, she'll notice mine and Charlie's skin and our eyes, she'll notice that something is wrong." I 発言しました starting to panic. もっと見る pain jolted into my back and spine. I winced.
"Bella, Carlisle has it all figured out." Edward 発言しました assuringly.
"Okay, where is Charlie?" I 発言しました curiously.
"He is out hunting with the others. I went hunting early this morning before あなた woke up. Alice made Charlie promise not to concentrate on them so they could hunt and not feel guilty, and Carlisle got called in to work at the hospital." Edward 発言しました smiling as he laughed.
"I can't wait for our wedding." I 発言しました smiling as I leaned up a little to キッス Edward. He kissed me back gently.
"Wedding!? Why didn't あなた tell me sooner?" Alice beamed as she hopped into the room, a big smile on her face. Edward leaned back and looked up at Alice. I layed back down.
"You were easedropping on us?" I 発言しました looking playfully at her.
"No, I saw it in a vision I had while I was hunting with the others." Alice 発言しました matter-of-factly.
"Did あなた tell the others?" Edward asked curious.
"No, they didn't even know that I had a vision." Alice 発言しました sitting down on the foot of my bed.
Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett, and Esme came into the room.
"Hey Bella. How are あなた feeling?" Esme 発言しました as she appeared at the side of my bed.
"I'm feeling better." I 発言しました taking a deep breath.
"we would have come in earlier, but we didn't want to wake あなた up." Esme 発言しました smiling that sweet inocent smile of hers.
"Uh Bella and I have something to tell all of you." Edward 発言しました putting his hand on 上, ページのトップへ of mine and smiling that inoxicating smile of his.
"What?" Emmet 発言しました smiling a little bit.
"What is it?" Rosalie 発言しました looking a bit concerned.
"Is something wrong?" Jasper 発言しました looking a bit confused.
"No Jasper nothing is wrong." I 発言しました smiling and biting down on my bottom lip.
"Then what is it?" Jasper 発言しました as Alice came over and put her arms around his torso. Jasper put his arm around her.
"Edward and I are getting married." I 発言しました smiling from ear to ear, but the smile faded a little when the pain returned.
"Congradulations!" Esme said, extremly excited.
"Nice." Emmett 発言しました comming over and patting Edward on the shoulder.
"Congradulations." Jasper 発言しました smiling.
"I'm very happy for you." Rosalie 発言しました smiling.
"Well we need to start planning the wedding now don't we?" Alice 発言しました skipping back over to my bedside.
"Yes we do." I 発言しました smiling. Edward looked at me and smiled.

I was getting married, to Edward, the 愛 of my life, the 愛 of my existance. I loved him もっと見る than anything and nothing will change that.
