Chapter 6
    Sage, the really strange red head
    I feel my blood boil when I see my gals outside drooling over football players outside with no shirts on. I suppress the urge to roll my eyes, Sage’s practically fanning herself, Ali has no shame in giving them the stalker look, and Beth is too pre-occupied on her phone.
    I stomp towards them. “How dare あなた ditch me!”
    Beth shrugs not looking from her phone. “They made me leave, they just had to come out here.”
    “I can see that as how your looking at your phone,” I say, throwing the other’s venomous looks.
    Sage shrugged. “Hormonal teenage girl needs.”
    “Such fine needs too,” Ali adds, winking at every guy who looked her way.
    I roll my eyes, “well I’m bored let’s go.”
    Ali turns to me with a raised eyebrow. “No thanks, your majesty.”
    I sigh. “I just want to hang out at a mall または something, not be at some party where I’m most likely going to get punched…like last time.” I add.
    This time Ali sighs. “Fine, loser, but your buying us 食 and a ticket to that movie I’ve been dying to see.”
    I shrug, holding in my frustration. As long as we get to leave here.
    
    Two days later and I found myself standing 次 to Sage in the girl’s locker room, dreading the 次 few moments about to happen. Today was the dreaded mile run, where girl’s like that can actually run, perform successfully and girl’s that don’t (me) nearly faint out of exhaustion.
    “Come on bubby, it’s not going to be that bad, we’ve been through this test each year, practice makes perfect.” Sage encourages.
    I huff. “You sound like Beth.”
    Our lovely friend, who actually loves days like these. It’s crazy, she likes to run everyday in the morning. That girl can be our very own personal exercise trainer, though she just says it’s a really easy routine あなた can get used to. A fun habit.
    I’d rather be stabbed, shot, drowned, and buried in my own backyard.
    Okay! Maybe that was a bit dramatic, but exercise and I have had a very bad history, one that the クイーン B Meredith loves to remind me about.
    Who’s Meredith?
    Her name’s Meredith Baxter, resident hottie in our school. Golden blonde hair, ice dark blue eyes, slim sexy body, あなた get the point.
    As of right now, the evil witch was pulling her glorious ゴールド locks up into an elegant ponytail, and on anyone else it might’ve looked fine.
    But on her, it was absolutely perfect.
    Note my sarcasm? All though all the other girl’s in our school think so, あなた can’t miss the envious looks people shoot her everyday, girl’s at least. But most of them is too chicken to go up and say hi to her. And who wouldn’t? That girl is so intimidating, one look from her and あなた can literally freeze at it’s intensity.
    I hear Sage sigh enviously as Meredith sashays out of the locker, and I try to ignore, but it’s hard when practically every other girl isn’t.
    “How I wish I were,” Sage confesses after Meredith is fully out of the classroom.
    I make an irritated noise. “Yeah right, look at you, your way better looking.”
    Sage scoffs. “Oh please, I’m like a reject drawing of Ariel the mermaid, I’m not even remotely close to being as beautiful as her.”
    I bang my head against the locker. “Great I have just learned my friend is an idiot.”
    Sage rolls her eyes. “Appreciated but don’t kid.”
    “I’m not kidding! How many girl’s do あなた come across with red hair, let alone natural, not dyed. And your eyes, a nice light green, and your body, well I wonder how your not a running sensation. あなた look like あなた work out a lot, but really all あなた do is eat ジャンク 食 and exercise when your really hyper.”
    Sage laughs. “Whatever alligator, it’s my bestest and funnest method.”
    “Best and fun, not with the -est’s in ‘em.” I correct her, crossing my arms.
    Sage shoves me lightly. “Nerd!”
    “Well if あなた actually paid attention in class you’d understand to.”
    Sage grins as she tugs me out of the locker room, she has to drag my feet to make me actually exit my lovely sanctuary, and I wonder if she’s been practicing with heavy weights.
    When we reach outside, I can see the boys that have PE this period play basketball, and I feel sympathetic towards the guys that don’t want to be playing it.
    My eyes immediately sought out Cal’s, and as usual he’s about the best player on the team, and I mentally sigh.
    I stand によって Sage as we wait for the stragglers in our team to 登録する us, and a few 分 later were off running.

    What? Did あなた really think I’d embrass myself によって describing how I ran which resembled a crazed dog who stubbed his toe. I was sweating, and I couldn’t help but glare at Meredith who took a sip from her water bottle, looking unaffected.
    “That was good girlies,” our coach informed us. “But あなた could’ve done better, but hey, あなた got it done, hit the lockers.”
    And we did, I took about a century to change and によって the time I was done, my breathing still hadn’t slowed.
    “You poor thing,” Meredith’s sugar coated voice taunted. “Can’t run a mile without having a conniption.”
    All the girl’s suddenly hushed, and I felt anger at that very clichéd moment. Tons of girl’s are privileged to hear her voice a few times, I don’t blame them though. As evil as Meredith is, her voice sounds like a calm and carrying angel.
    “Um…a conniption is caused によって extreme excitement and anger, and running doesn’t seem to compare to either,” I inform her.
    Meredith smile’s. “Whatever あなた say freak,” all of a sudden she steps close to me. “But leave my Grey out of this okay? He doesn’t have to waste his time, on low life losers like you.”
    I’m speechless as she saunters away back to her locker, and Sage has to slap me to snap me out of my trance.
    “Hey?!” I rub my now sore neck.
    “What’s she talking about?!” Sage demands.
    I cringe. “I don’t know.”
    “Brunette haired one, she looked ready to about rip あなた into two for something having to do with Grey.”
    I shrug, exasperated. “Nothing’s going on! He’s always around us! I don’t like him! And he doesn’t like me!”
    “You sound so sure,” Sage raises her eyebrows. “So very sure.”
    I sigh helplessly. “Great, now I’ve got the ‘it’ girl ready to murder me for a guy who doesn’t even like me.”
    And wants me to hook him up with my best friend. Which Meredith will not be pleased with.
    Life can be oh so cruel.
    Especially to me.
