Duncan laid down in his bed, staring at a particular spot on the ceiling. He'd been laying like this for over an hour. He was thinking the same thing he'd been thinking nearly every 分 of every 日 for the past three months. How could she have dumped him? Duncan knew he had his flaws, he was defiant, rude, sneaky. But he thought Courtney loved him despite those things. He punched the ウォール in frustration. Duncan sighed, where was Harold when he needed a human punching bag? Suddenly there was a knock at Duncan's door.
"Go away." Duncan snapped. The door opened any way. Duncan's brother, Steve walked in.
    "Okay dude, get your butt out of bed. We're seriously starting to worry about you. あなた haven't jacked a bike in weeks. " 発言しました Steve.
    "Maybe I've seen the error of my ways." Duncan replied smugly, rolling his eyes.
    "I think it was that CIT chick. Man she screwed あなた up." mumbled Steve. Duncan's fists clenched, and before he knew what he was doing, he'd hurdled his ベッド side lamp at his brother's head. Steve ducked just in time. The lamp hit the ウォール and shattered.
    "Whooaah mom is going to be pissed!" Steve 発言しました holding back a laugh.
    "What else is new? Mom and Dad always pissed at me." Duncan said, with a hollow chuckle.
    "True" Steve replied "But they're pissed at me all the time too."
    "Okay whatever. Leave me alone I need some sleep." Duncan 発言しました grumpily.
    "More like wanting some もっと見る time to pout." Steve muttered. "Seriously if あなた miss her that much why don't あなた just talk to her?" Duncan sighed. He knew that there was no use denying it anymore. Steve would not leave him alone until he admitted he missed her.
     "she won't return my calls" Duncan replied as he got up off his bed.
    "So what? Make her listen. Go see her in person. It wouldn't be the first time one of us have gone awol." Steve 発言しました as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. The もっと見る Duncan thought this over, the もっと見る it made sense. If he could just get to Courtney and talk to her, maybe they could work this out. Duncan jumped off his ベッド and went to his closet. He quickly took out an already packed duffle bag. He always kept one in case he had to leave quickly. A thought suddenly crossed his mind.
    "Ah crap! what are あなた going to tell my parole officer?" Duncan asked
    "I have no idea But hey, によって the time he finds out you'll be long gone." Steve answered.
    "Thanks bro. See あなた whenever ." And with those last words Duncan jumped out his bedroom window and disappeared into the night.

    "Excuse me miss? Miss あなた have to wake up now, we've arrived."
    Courtney slowly opened her eyes to the sound of the cab driver's voice. She quickly stretched and got up. Then with a deep breath she opened the cab door. She now stood in front of a beautiful building. The cab driver through her bags out of the トランク of the car on to the side walk, while Courtney still stood there admiring her new home. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as she had originally thought. She was taken away from her thoughts when the heavy metal gates at the front of the school opened. A man in a wheel chair came toward her.
    "welcome." he 発言しました smiling at her.
    "Thank あなた Professor Xavier." Courtney said, returning the smile. Even if she wasn't sure if she wanted to be here. There was no point in being rude. Courtney kneeled down to pick up her luggage.
    "Don't worry about that" The Professor said. "Logan can carry those in for you. " a short muscular and rather hairy man came through the gates and grabbed her luggage. He had a very サワー look on his face. Courtney made a mental note to avoid him.
    "Well then, would あなた like to have a tour of your new home?" The Professor asked kindly.
    "That would be lovely." Courtney replied.
    Courtney was shown the grounds first. They were beautifully landscaped , and were complete with basket ball course and テニス course. The inside of the building was just as beautiful. The floors appeared to be marble. Paintings lined the walls. There was a gym, games room, and general social area with state of the art entertainment systems. She was so wound up in how amazing everything was, she almost didn't hear Professor Xavier.
    "There is もっと見る of the school to see, but I presume your tired. Let me just introduce あなた to some of your class mates. Professor Xavier lead her back to the TV area. She saw some kids around her age chilling on the couches watching Lord of the Rings.
    "Children" The Professor 発言しました just loud enough to get there attention. "This is our newest student Courtney. She just arrived today. I hope that you'll all give her a warm welcome." They all turned to look at her as the Professor left the room. Courtney smiled at them and waved. A girl with brown hair approached Courtney smiling brightly.
    "Hi!" She chimed "I'm Kitty, it's nice to meet あなた Courtney." Kitty held out her hand for Courtney to shake. As Courtney attempted to shake Kitty's hand something very strange happened. Her hand went right through Kitty's. Courtney screamed in alarm.
    "Oh sorry, that happens sometimes." Kitty 発言しました casually.
    "Oh that's okay." Courtney said, chuckling nervously.
    The 次 to approach her was a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. He grinned widely and he stretched his hand out for Courtney to shake. The boy laughed when he saw the hesitant look on her face.
    "Ahhh don't worry my hand is solid. That's just her." He 発言しました pointing over his should at Kitty, who was sticking her tongue out at him. Courtney stretched her hand out to shake the boys. "I'm Bobby" he said.
    "It's nice to meet あなた Bobby." Courtney replied. She was about to turn away to meet the other students when Bobby called after her.
    "Hey wait, I got something for you." He handed Courtney a rose. This wasn't just any rose it was an icy blue rose. Courtney looked slightly puzzled
    "erm... Thanks?" She 発言しました slightly confused.
    "I made it myself" Bobby 発言しました in a playful tone 表示中 Courtney how he could form ice in the palms of his hands. "I give them to all the pretty girls-" Bobby was interrupted によって fake retching sounds coming from over Bobby's shoulder. Courtney laughed when she saw it was Kitty. There was only one other student in the room Courtney hadn't been introduced to. She was sitting on the couch, looking a little grumpy.
"Hi." Courtney 発言しました sticking her hand out for the girl to shake. The girl quickly pulled her hands away.     
    The others must have seen the insulted look on Courtney's face because Kitty quickly 発言しました "That's Rogue. She wasn't trying to be ruse. Honestly I think she was looking out for you." Courtney looked puzzled. Rogue glared at her, then quickly got up.
"Yeah, if ah had of shakin' your hand you'd be in a coma." She 発言しました coolly in her southern twang as she got off the ソファー, ソファ and left the room.
    "Is she always that polite?" Courtney asked turning to the others.
    "Pretty much." Bobby 発言しました "She'll be nicer once あなた get to know her. Any way Kitty was right. You'd be unconscious and all your thoughts and abilities would be in Rogue's head if あなた had of shaken her hand. "
    "Than remind me to never shake her hand." Courtney 発言しました quickly. The other two laughed.
    Over their laughter Courtney heard a very familiar "Oh my gosh! こんにちは Courtney!" Shocked Courtney turned around to see a familiar face she'd never thought she'd see here.
