This is just a short piece of Castiel’s thoughts after Sam killed Alastair in ‘On the Head of a Pin’. His shock at Sam’s actions and his guilt at where the proceedings had left Dean. Just a one shot – NO SLASH.

Alastair’s body fell to the ground. His mouth and eyes still hung open. His lifeless form hit the ground with a thud and silence followed. For a few brief moments, Castiel stared at Sam in a mixture of disbelief, disappointment and concern.
Disbelief because Sam had just killed a demon. Not just any demon, Alastair, with his mind. He had not just exorcised him, he had killed him. For good.
Disappointment because Castiel had hoped that Sam would not continue down this dangerous road. He had hoped that Dean would be able to talk some sense into his brother.
And concern. Now that Sam had taken the 次 step with his powers, what did that mean? Castiel didn’t know, and that thought, that lack of knowledge, it terrified him.
Castiel glanced from Sam to Ruby. The エンジェル could not quite decipher the look on her face, but if he didn’t know any better, he would have read it as pure satisfaction.
Castiel then looked back to the younger Winchester brother. Sam gave him one last glance before turning to Dean. All three of them looked at the unconscious young man lying in the middle of the room. Sam rushed over to his brother, kneeling によって his body and lifting his head into his lap. Neither Castiel nor Ruby 発言しました anything as they watched Sam クレードル, 受け台 Dean in his arms.
Castiel couldn’t help but feel guilt inside of him. He knew it was wrong. He was an エンジェル of the Lord. He should not 表示する any emotion. Yet guilt filled his body to the brim and he could do nothing about it. Castiel had not wanted to put Dean in there. He had not wanted to make him do what he had done. Yet he could merely watch as Uriel kidnapped Dean. His friend. He could only be a bystander as Dean was forced to do the one thing he had sworn to himself that he would never do again. And look where that had landed him.
Dean was now lying in the middle of the floor and no matter what Sam did, no matter how much he tried to coax his brother to wake up, Dean remained unconscious. Castiel barely heard Sam screaming for help to get his brother to the hospital. He watched as Sam lifted Dean’s limp form into his arms and carried him out of the door to the Impala. He sat in the same spot Alastair had dropped him and stared into space.
He had put his friend in this position. He had put his friend in hospital.
He had to get to the bottom of this. For Dean. He owed him that much.

The waitress walked through the back door. She was taking a break. She felt two eyes on her and looked aside.
Cas was staring at her.
“Hi” she said. She walked to him. “You were 芝居 strange earlier”
“I’m sorry” Cas mumbled. “You remind me of someone”
“Your girlfriend?” the waitress guessed.
Cas shook his head. “She wasn’t my girlfriend. She was my…”
“Sex buddy” the waitress helped. “I’m Lucy”
“I’m Cas” Cas said.
“Cas?” Lucy 発言しました intrigued. “That’s an uncommon name” She came closer to him and took his collar. She dragged him into one of the toilets and locked the door. She threw her arms around his neck and jumped in his arms. She kissed him and Cas forced her against the wall.
“Aaaahhh!” she exclaimed. She pushed Cas away and looked at him terrified.
“I’m sorry” Cas mumbled concerned.
“It’s okay” Lucy said, but Cas unlocked the door and ran away.

Meg opened the door of a motel room and helped Cas inside. She guided him to the single ベッド and put him down. She gently pushed him down and he opened his eyes a little. She walked to the bathroom and dampened a towel.
She walked back into the room and sank down on the bed. Unlike Meg’s Cas’ clothes hadn’t been restored. Meg opened the ruined and bloodstained hospital シャツ and dabbed his wounds with the towel.
Cas groaned from pain.
“You don’t have to do this” he 発言しました weak. “I will heal eventually”
“I know” Meg 発言しました absent-minded. She stared at Cas’ body. Even with all the cuts he still looked…jumpable.
“But thanks for the gesture” Cas 発言しました with a weak smile.
Meg continued nursing his injuries. “You know” she said. “If I was still human, I’d fall for you”
Cas gave her another weak smile, before he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
She walked back into the room and sank down on the bed. Unlike Meg’s Cas’ clothes hadn’t been restored. Meg opened the ruined and bloodstained hospital シャツ and dabbed his wounds with the towel.

Cas opened the door of the house and helped Daphne inside. He guided her to the sitting room and put her gently down on the couch.
“You know, I’ve been thinking” Daphne said. “With あなた around I don’t need a car. Makes things a lot cheaper”
“Can I get あなた something?” Cas asked.
Daphne shook her head. “You’re here. That’s enough for now”
Cas wasn’t used to that much gratitude and he’d have to adjust to it.
“Actually” Daphne started. “Could あなた give me the phone? I need to call the locksmith to tell him I won’t be needing his services after all. I gave Zoey her key back”
Cas smiled weak. “I’m glad あなた made it up with each other”
Cas opened the door of the house and helped Daphne inside. He guided her to the sitting room and put her gently down on the couch.
