バービー in the Nutcracker is the first installment in the computer-animated バービー film series.
The film was written によって Linda Engelsiepen, Hilary Hinkle and Rob Hudnut, and is loosely based on E.T.A Hoffman's classic story, The Nutcracker and the マウス King. The film follows Clara, a young orphan girl who has a dream of going to a land named Parthenia and defeating an evil king.
The ballet in the film was motion-capture based, and choreographed によって Peter Martins. The 音楽 is によって Arnie Roth, and the ロンドン Symphony Orchestra performed songs from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite".
