Have あなた heard the news?

Some of あなた may know, either because you've seen my post on the ランダム wall, または because あなた follow the news.
The Japanese parliament voted, and made the decision to allow the Japanese military to fight in oversees wars. This is going to be a harsh wake-up call to the Japanese, who, even now, have often been inclined to pretend foreign problems either didn't exists, または don't effect them.

So I suppose I should get to the question, go ahead and answer one または both.
1. What do あなた think about war, particularly the war on terror.
2. What do あなた think will become of this, will 日本 be changed forever?
