I think they both have merit when done with conscience, heart, and moral value. (I believe in Spirituality over religion または over either of these~) BECAUSE, I could, if need be, live without science but I could not または would not want to live without my God.

Science with a moral base, helps build mankind. It gives understanding on how the universe works. Science has changed the quaility of life people can enjoy. Religion and Science are to different fields of study. When conducted with a fair open mind, I see no contradiction between the two.
They're both important. I've tried believing in various stuff, but my scientific mind always finds an explanation to weird stuff I've been trying to believe. I guess it depends on each person.
