Because dubs are terrible and they sometimes change the words around. Plus, everything seems もっと見る cheesy when it's dubbed. I don't see the problem with reading. 読書 is fun. :P

Also, it's been proven that for most subjects (excluding math) handing out homework for the sake of handing out homework doesn't even make the student learn anything. It's completely useless.
