To me, 愛 is a needed emotion. 愛 is what makes あなた want to protect someone または something, to want to always be with that someone または something.
愛 brings people together, it protects people. It may hurt us at times, but it protects us also. あなた fight to protect those あなた 愛 no matter what the cost.
愛 in any form is the key to survival, あなた just can't do anything if あなた aren't doing it out of love.
