When レズビアン または gay people get married, whose surname is changed?

I'm not lesbian but I was wondering...
Lets say John Johnner gets married to Matt Matthews, they is John gonna be John Matthews, または Matt gonna be Matt Johnner?
I hope あなた understand me..

In homosexual relationships there is usually a "guy" and "girl" (The "guy" is the most masculine one and the "girl" is the most feminine one) I would have to assume that the "girl" gives up the last name. If not then it would be whoever wants to give up their last name.

It's just the same way with regular couples the person who proposed to you, あなた usually take their last name =]
That's how I think it is unless the other person wants to keep the name.
