It was a foreign song and when it got translated to English, they made a mistake. It was originally supposed to be ♪Jimmy cracked コーン, トウモロコシ and we all cared♪
Because whoever wrote the song was watching Jimmy crack the コーン, トウモロコシ that day. And, unlike what the song says, he did care. And still does on this very day. He cares so much that he wrote that song! It should've been "Jimmy cracked コーン, トウモロコシ and I do care".
