Most say that they are a 'distraction'. But actually, the real reason for my school was that they greatly resembled what we call 'Sex bracelets'. The kind that if あなた break a certain color, it means that you've done a certain sexual thing.
Silly bandz highly resemble the Sex bracelets and the schools in most districts around my state banned them for that reason. I miss my Silly bandz!

True. Honestly I thought they were "sex bracelets" when I first seen them.
ugh the schools need to get over themselves. do they seriously think that kids would wear them because of what sex scandals they did? I mean, even with the Sex bracelets from before... they just need to get over themselves. and they say WE have the dirty minds... -.-
yaeh my friend has them and was saying this crap about, "Dont break that! あなた break that, あなた just had sex with your boyfriend または whatever :S BRING THE BRACELETS BACK!
my school hasnt banded them (yay!!) and in m school silly bands and sex bands are two different things and they still havent banded either from my school and that dont really care cuz they have had the cops on us b4 so we rnt very scared of the cops (i didnt get in trouble for the cops crap its just that my school has a lot of bad kids in it)
they say that its a distraction to the cirriculum and that the fact of wearing so many on a wrist can cut circulation off.
now, we all know thats plain dumb. people draw all over their hands and get タトゥー and no one says anything about it, so why is this so important to get rid of? i mean, this ban isn't happening at our high school, but i still think its ridiculous...its a freakin collection!! what, did no one have a collection of something when they were little? sheesh.... adults these days. -__-
i get to keep mine haha but if i play with it there gone . and wehave a differnet sex band then yall do cuz are are thicker and if あなた dont have some your supid. lol i just call my self supid hahahahahaha
And its still not banned. Instead teachers say, If I see that again, its mine, and あなた will not get it back.Some give it to there kids, others break it and throw it out.
