How to catch Missingno in Pokemon Red または Blue

Missingno. is a glitch Pokemon. If caught, it will cause some minor glitches in the graphics. It is pretty hard to catch, seeing at it exists only under certain conditions. And here they are:

1. Make sure your character's name is ASH.
(Added note: There are other names, but ASH is the easiest to remember for me.)

2. Go to Viridian City and talk to the old man near the top. He will ask if you're in a hurry. Say "no."

3. After you're done talking to the old man, fly to either Cinnabar Island または fuschia, フスキア, フクシア City right away. Don't do anything else until you're there.

4. If あなた flew to Cinnabar Island, Surf to the east coast. If あなた flew to fuschia, フスキア, フクシア City, Surf to the Seafoam Islands.

5. Once あなた get to the coast of Cinnabar, Surf along the coast. または if at the Seafoam Islands, Surf around the coast of the islands. Either way, あなた will eventually encounter the elusive Missingno.

Thern You forgot to mention it duplicates the 6th item in you bag when caught. and also your name doesn't have to be ASH to catch a missingno there are other names you can use too, and also depending on the name you use will determine it's form. I had my name as Kitty and I ran into the one that looked like the ghosts from the tower in lavender town. people should also know that also that glitch can cause the dangerous M glitch pokemon to appear that can corrupt game data if caught unlike missingno who is a benefit to catch and also really high leveled pokemon along that coast.

PlasmaPeople Michael: Thanks, Thern! You're right, I did forget to mention that. But ASH is one of the names, and the easiest to remember, that will help you catch Missingno. I always thought M and Missingno were the same Pokemon. Guess I was wrong! :)
