I'd doubt that he would still be the main character in poke'mon. Unfortunetaly they *may* be replacing ash with a different character in the 次 series.
Though if Ash stayed it'd probably attract less ファン to bother even for a new game? They should have replaced ash with the boy person in the unova region when they had the new chance.
I find it unpredictably to think of ash in the future though. I mean adding up the 'average teenager' and 'Ashes attitude' I'm finding it unbelievably hard to think of an answer this question.
