Chapter 2
Marlene was getting an ice pack for Private's sprained flipper. Private was looking over at her. His crush was starting to grow on him, and then Marlene got the ice pack.
"Here あなた go Private!" Marlene 発言しました happily.
"Thanks Marlene." Private 発言しました happily as well.
He was getting nervous around her. There was tension building up in his body. He wanted to say something but he just couldn't.
"Marlene, do you…by any chance…like anyone here?" Private asked.
What kind of a 質問 was that? あなた dope. Private thought to himself.
"Sure. Everyone here is my friend. Well…mostly everyone." Marlene said.
"Mostly?…" Private asked
"Yeah. That Julien. He's like…annoying. I wonder why he classify himself as a king?" Marlene asked herself.
"He's…probably…mental…" Private 発言しました in a nervous tone.
"True…he can be a little crazy. What am I saying? A lot crazy." Marlene said.
"Yeah…" Private said.
"Private. Are あなた okay?" Marlene asked.
Private was now really nervous as Marlene took his flipper in her hand. He couldn't speak now…he can feel sweat from his feathers. (A/N I know penguins don't sweat, but they sure don't sleep lying down. LOLZ)
"Private…you can tell me anything…I promise." Marlene 発言しました in a soft tone, which made Private even もっと見る nervous.
Private looked into Marlene's eyes and suddenly his nerves were gone. He was ロスト in those big brown eyes. It was like the world around him melted away and him and Marlene were the only ones there. He was probably in 雲, クラウド nine.
"Private?" Marlene asked.
"You have the most beautiful eyes." Private 発言しました suddenly.
"What?" Marlene 発言しました with a chuckle thinking about how adorable that just sounded.
Darn! That was out loud! Private thought to himself while covering his mouth with his free flipper.
"Ummm…Marlene…I didn't…" Private was stammering like crazy.
"It's okay…" Marlene 発言しました in a soft but happy tone.
"It is?" Private asked.
"Yeah…to be honest…even though あなた penguins have the same eyes…your eyes are quite the cutest." Marlene 発言しました looking into his eyes.
"…Thank…you…" Private 発言しました nervously.
"You're welcome…" Marlene 発言しました smiling.
Private didn't know if she was just complementing him as a friend または just probably saying he's a handsome, cute, huggable, adorable penguin.
"Private…why are あなた so nervous?" Marlene asked with a chuckle.
"Well…ummm…you see…I…" Private was talking.
"You what?" Marlene asked in her playful tone.
"Well…I…have a crush on you…" Private said.
Marlene looked at him. Private thought that was the wrong time to say it. But it was happening now. She heard it all. Everything.
"That's…very adorable." Marlene 発言しました happily.

"Yeah. I mean, honestly…you're kind of cute." Marlene said.
Private smiled and hugged Marlene tightly. Marlene returned the hug.

Marlene then was in shock.
"How do あなた know that?" Marlene asked.
Private then realized his mistake. They don't know about the memory loss spray.
"I was guessing." Private chuckled.
"Oh…very funny." Marlene laughed.
"By the way…what if Skippa hears about us?" Private asked.
"Why?" Marlene asked.
"Well. He doesn't seem to be into the fact that I like you. He'd probably be babying me all the time saying I'm too young." Private said.
"You're not that young. And Skipper won't know about this. あなた have my word." Private said.
"Kowalski knows about it." Private said.
"Well…you can trust Kowalski." Marlene said.
"Great!" Private 発言しました throwing his flippers in the air. Then realized about his sprained flipper. "Ouch!"
Marlene then pressed the ice pack on it.
"It'll probably take time to recover…I'll give あなた that." Marlene said.
Private smiled at her. Then Marlene gave Private a peck on the cheek. Private felt it with his free flipper.
"You…kissed me." Private said.
"Yeah…but that was just a peck on the cheek." Marlene said.
"Those that count as a kiss?" Private asked.
"Didn't あなた ever have your first キッス Private?" Marlene asked.
"No…I had no luck with women whatsoever." Private 発言しました with his head lowered.
"Well…I guess I'm your first." Marlene 発言しました patting him on the back.
"Yeah…my parents were too protective of me. But it was for my own good." Private said.
"Your own good?" Marlene asked.
"Yeah…my mum wanted me to begin dating when I was older. My dad wasn't around much…he was captured and put into another zoo." Private said.
"Wow…I'm so sorry." Marlene said.
"It's okay…he's still alive. Luckily." Private 発言しました smiling.
"Well that's something あなた can look フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして to." Marlene 発言しました smiling as well.
"Yeah…" Private said.
Marlene and Private then looked each other in the eyes and was about to kiss, but then a timer turned on interrupting them.
"Oh, my 食 is ready!" Marlene 発言しました joyfully.
"That's great." Private 発言しました smiling. Although he was hoping for a kiss. But he was patient.
Marlene then grabbed a 大皿, プラッター of oysters from an oven. (A/N yes an oven. LOLZ!) And put them near a 表, テーブル with Private.
"I also have some fish." Marlene said.
"That would be delightful." Private said.
Then Marlene gave Private some 魚 and then began eating her roasted oysters. Private then began eating his 魚 and was happy that Marlene felt the same way with Private. Although what would Skipper think?
