After breakfast, John and Caryn sat in the living room. John asked Caryn for his guitar. He started strumming it, and Caryn started 歌う along to the melody. I then heard my uncle's voice. He said, 'Those tears say you're not ready to die. あなた still want to live. あなた have so much to live for.' That's when I decided to go get help." BingoPB It really does. It is so touching. That is a real song John mentioned. Those lyrics are from "Live Forever" by Britpop band, Oasis. I read that the song was written in response to Nirvana's song, "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die".

RocknRollSoul60 It never hurts to include a touching part in a story. It was my idea to include this.

Peaceandlove67 Yes, it was, Paul. He told me that he felt that it would make John a more relatable character if people knew that he struggled with depression in the past.

Rubyrings I thought it was probably a real song, although I didn't recognize it! That was a really touching chapter. It also seems like a big step in John and Caryn's relationship, that he's letting her in on personal stories from his past.
