arasu although we need to actually read the article to know what the "allein" actually means here, but IMO (dominated by my HuLi brain of course), posting a giant pic of a guy and gave it a caption like "Rich&Alone" sounds like a bachelor advertisement to me..as if saying like this guy is "in the market"... =p

arasu Technically, he is living alone in the states though..as to being alone relationship-wise, that still remains a mystery.. I don't think the article is claiming he's "alone" as in he's "single". I just consider that the big picture up there along with its caption can be seen as very ambiguous... XD

playingcold IMO 'alone' means here that he is living in LA without his family. In German they also use 'single' so I'm sure that's not what they meant.

baozieer the person who reposts this pic implied that the phrase is another way of saying "rich bachelor"..well i'm just cheering everyone up:P

playingcold @baozieer So the person implied, not the article. There's a huge difference between the two things. I don't want to be negative and all, I just want to stop a false rumour before it's starting to spread all over the spot :)

Belle0308 As soon as someone translates this article, let me/us know. I haven't taken German since I was in 8th grade so I am clueless. I DO find the title rather interesting though. At the same time, I am trying to decide if I would even be shocked if they came out and announced that he were Rich & Single because I don't think I would be at this point. I think I am more shocked when they try to make it sound like he runs home all the time and that is he happily married. I sit around shaking my head a lot.

Serienjunkie91 Yes, thx. I found the article. To sum it all up: there's nothing really new. For short: -as Hugh didn't/doesn't believe in the success of House he left his family in London and visits them during the time when they aren't shooting House or they come to LA (every 2 or 3 months) -he's depressed -he boxes as a sign of his rebellion -he misses the rain (LA is just too sunny) -he speaks a perfect American accent - his family noticed that he uses a lot of "weird" words I hope I could help. =) If you have questions on the article, ask away.

Why, Your Lordship, but you didn't seem all that depressed while rambling about how lucky you are and how happiness comes from within... You run back and forth to see your family? You were just on Ellen, admitting that your kids are scattered in the 4 winds and that "your job is done" - i know it was a joke, but it sure as hell did NOT sound as if you would have said, say... "i run home every time i can. I just can't live without hugging my wife every six weeks, and the children need me to read to them in the evenings"... Nor did you come up with a very sweet wife story, when Jay Leno was talking about the very romantic meeting he had with his wife, half way the distance between them, on an airport... I take it you and Jo don't meet half way in the Bahamas (which i know is not half way between LA and London, but i was just making a point...), every chance you get?... Honestly. Honestly. This is getting old.

Belle0308 @DB I hear you completely. Like I said yesterday, there are too many things NOT being said lately that scare me even more than what is being said. I could have sworn that HL works with this really gorgeous and talented woman named LE but you would never know because when they ask about the "scenes" he can't bring himself to mention her. At the same time he can't mention his wife, the supposed love of his life for standing by him and being supportive of him while he is over in America being "House" and making a movie and a CD. The whole thing is a little odd. My Sister flew from Seattle to London this spring and back and it was a LONG trip and one you could not make over a three day weekend or something and make it worth your while.

Satine2002 I haven't read the article but I'm guessing it's a compilation of things said in the past. But the rich and alone thing is interesting. There's a new interview on TV today. Let's see if we get any news or if Hugh remembers his co-star's name. ;-)
