The Host Chapter 7 The Hunt

Cas and Alexia were sitting at the living table, playing Don’t lose your head and Cas was losing, when the ベル rang.
“I think that’s the babysitter” Cas 発言しました and he stood up and walked to the front door. When he opened the door he saw a teenage girl. She was wearing a blue tank 上, ページのトップへ and jeans. Her clothes stuck on her body from the rain. She was holding a rugsack over her head to avoid getting any wetter.

Just like the first time he’d had a patient Cas just needed to close his eyes and concentrate. When he opened his eyes he and Alexia were standing in front of a poor looking house.
“I don’t think the people that live here will have the money to pay you, uncle Emmanuel” Alexia 発言しました sad.
“I won’t ask for money” Cas replied. “The mother and her son can offer me their gratitude. That will be enough”
That cheered Alexia up. “You really are a good person, uncle Emmanuel”

His hand hurt so much he couldn’t speak.
“Can I speak with あなた for a moment? Outside?” the female cop said. She grabbed his arm and pulled him outside. As soon as the door closed she let him go.

Cas sank down on the bed. How was he supposed to find this Macky-person if he didn’t know where he lived または how he looked? Why didn’t Daphne ask the address? She must’ve been really upset with him.

Daphne opened the wardrobe and picked out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. She gave it to Cas. “We already know あなた have the same size as my brother, so why not wear his clothes”
“Shouldn’t I have my own clothes?” Cas asked careful.
“We’re not going to spend money if it’s not really necessary” Daphne 発言しました reproachful. “Besides, you’re really not in a position to make demands”

Cas walked downstairs, his suit in his arms, when he bumped into someone. “Watch out where you’re going” a slow, familiar and female voice said.
“What are あなた doing here?” Cas asked.
“Saving you” Meg 発言しました smug. “I saw あなた walking into the house and well, I know a thing または two about weddings. No celebration before the ceremony. No seeing the bride before the ceremony. I bet your Daphne Dearest is now going all crazy”
“You shouldn’t be here” Cas said, looking around, hoping no one would see them together.

Cas was cleaning up the mess the guests had left behind when he saw Daphne’s reflection in the mirror. He looked down and put the glasses in the sink.

Daphne was in the shower, Zoey was out and Cas was sitting at the breakfast 表, テーブル when the ベル rang. Still in his dressing-gown and bare feet he opened the door and stared at two older people. The man had grey hair, a big nose, brown eyes and chubby cheeks. The woman had 栗 hair, but that wasn’t her natural color. She had green eyes, a sharp face and thin lips.

The nurse opened the door and pushed the wheelchair into the room. Daphne was sitting on the ベッド and at the 表, テーブル there was an officer standing.
“I would like to ask your patient a few questions” he cut to the chase.
“I’m not sure my patient is physically または mentally strong enough to answer any” the doctor said, while entering the room.
“I feel fine” Cas mumbled.

Cas slowly opened his eyes and blinked. He lifted his hand to shut the sharp light out. Someone was pointing a really small flash light at his eyes.
“Sir, I need to check your eyes. Could あなた hold your hands down, please?”
It was a man and he was wearing a white coat. Cas vaguely remembered these people were called doctors.
“Looks all good” the doctor said. He looked up at Cas. “You are one very lucky man, Mister…?”
Cas shook his head. “I don’t know what my name is. I don’t know anything…about anything” He 発言しました it as if he was talking about not...

The Impala was still parked on the same spot. Meg walked around the car and opened the trunk. She opened one of Cas’ bags and pulled out the first シャツ she got her hands on. “Get in the car” she told Cas. “No, passenger seat” she added, when Cas wanted to step inside the driver’s seat. “You can’t drive like that”
She put herself behind the wheel. “I’m surprised あなた can drive at all” she mumbled.
“I can’t” Cas replied. He leaned backwards and closed his eyes.

Dean opened the door of the mansion and he and Sam entered. Anna had told them where to find Cas.
Dean walked into the living room and saw the old man on the carpet, his eyes wide open. Sam pulled out his gun and so did Dean.
“Cas?” Dean called.
Meg’s eyes widened and Cas quickly covered her mouth. He pulled her behind the closet. “Hush” he whispered and he removed his hand.
Dean looked at Sam and signed he’d 検索 upstairs and Sam would 検索 downstairs. Dean sneaked upstairs and listened carefully.
Sam ran downstairs into the basement and became sick when he saw the two corpses....

“Cas?” Meg called from the living room in the mansion. She was standing 次 to the corpse of the owner of the mansion.
Cas stumbled upstairs and came into the living room. He fell backwards against the ウォール and sank down on the carpet.
Meg quickly ran towards him and bent through her knees. She took his hands and noticed the blood on his hands. “Are あなた hurt?”

Cas opened the buttons on Frederik’s shirt. He placed the sword against the right side of his chest.
“Let’s play a game” he whispered. “I’ll call it the pot calling the kettle black” He pierced the point of the sword into Frederik’s flesh and started forming a letter. “You thought I did something. I was found innocent. The so-called victim clearly stated I did not do what あなた accuse me off. And yet あなた believed I was guilty and so あなた took matters in own hands. あなた punished me for my crime” He put the letter on the cabinet and started a new letter. “And now I’ll punish...

Think, Frederik, think. Talk to him. Keep him from whatever it is he’s planning with you, Frederik thought.
“What we did was wrong, I know that” he 発言しました loud. “But あなた have to understand. I have a daughter and I was afraid that あなた would-”

Cas appeared inside a mansion, holding his two victims tightly. The owner of the house stood up from his シート, 座席 and looked shocked at the intruder.
“What, in heaven’s name, do あなた think you’re doing?” the older man asked furious.
Cas pushed the men on the floor and walked steady to the man. Before the man could do so much as blink, Cas grabbed his neck and snapped it. Then he walked back to the others, grabbed their collars and dragged them to the basement.
He chained them up on their wrists and a few 秒 later they were hanging on the ceiling. He searched their pockets and conjured...

Cas’ phone rang as he walked slowly towards the other two men. Without looking he picked up. “Meg”
“Where are you?” Meg asked a little hysterical. She was standing によって the table, holding Cas’ note in her hand.
“I believe I left あなた a piece of paper with my whereabouts” Cas replied.
“Yeah. Dear Meg, I have some unfinished business I have to deal with. I’ll be back tomorrow” Meg read from the note. “What unfinished business? Where are you?” she repeated a little angry.

Cas walked inside the same café he had been the night he found out Meg was human, too. He looked around and noticed to his great delight that the same three men were sitting at the same 表, テーブル as last time he had seen them there.
He stared at them, until they felt it and turned their heads to him. He smirked as if he wanted to say: ‘Come and get me’
He turned around and left the café. The three men looked at the bartender. “Come on, he’s asking for it” one of them 発言しました disbelieving. The bartender shot them a warning glance. He allowed it once, but not again.
