Just look at how fast Phillip falls in 愛 with Aurora, we don't know his intentions. He might have went through 火災, 火 for her but I'm not sure why he wanted her so badly? It was a little too sudden... He's very flirty and he has some smooth moves.

He was selfish and shallow... would he have changed if another girl showed up instead of Belle? I do believe Belle/Beast's 愛 was true but Beast possibly made himself fall in 愛 with her. It's not like he had a choice any way, who wouldn't do the same in his situation?
