Well, my guess is that the writer was afraid that they will lose viewers after they got together as it happens to some tv shows. As they extend the time for B&B to get together, they will get もっと見る viewers.
The producers and writers are in ディベート right now as we speak in discussing about putting booth and brennan together in this season's season finale. Hopefully they do によって the looks of it!!!=-)
