Barack Obama 質問

As a European, I take universal health care for granted. Isn't it kind of 17th century-ish that many Americans are against it? I mean, so あなた may pay a little もっと見る tax. No one ever died of tax, but sickness sure will do the job! My opinion, open for d

Is universal healthcare so evil? A little もっと見る tax never killed anyone, but disease sure does!

I totally agree with you.

People really wonder why our country is falling apart so rapidly?

This is like Rome all over again.

Do あなた think only rich people deserve decent health care? What about the poor people who get thrown out of the hopsitals before they are even healthy, just because they cannot afford it? Good luck with that. Not only is this exceedingly greedy, but it is the exact same sort of thinking that led to the French Revolution; not a very pleasant time in history. (Try having the poor completely overthrowing the government, thousands among thousands of people being violently excecuted for often no apparent reason, just to make a statement? Yeah, that came from the same sort of thinking. Guess what? They were right about one thing, if only one thing; everyone is equal. Doesn't matter if you're rich または poor.)

Don't say it's the poor people's faults for being poor. First off, what about the poor people's children? They can't do anything about it. What if a poor person has a child born with cancer または something? Should the child be left to suffer? Also, it is not so easy to be rich. I'm sorry if あなた think it is, but あなた are taking too much for granted if that is the case. What if the person had a mental disability? または had poor education? または were molested または mistreated as children? Step into the other people's shoes before judging them. If あなた think it's the poor people's faults for being poor, it just proves あなた ignorant.

I'm very glad somebody else in this world sees sense :)

Hi XDRoseLuvsHP! I liked your コメント about my topic. I can assure you, most of the world sees no harm in universal healthcare. Infact, many new emerging economies are trying to impliment it! Why? I will tell あなた why. Any system that relegates any part of it's populace to a lesser level, while uplifting the few because they are richer is outdated. Such system is doomed to collaps on its self. Like あなた said, then it's the french revolution all over! あなた remember the french revolution saying? "Every man is born free, but everywhere in chains". Such system is simply not sustainable. It's the 21st century, for heavenssake! Other countries have moved on, but it seems like many Americans are still アナと雪の女王 in the cold war era! For them, everything that is foreign, is communism! To those I say, wake up before China etc overtakes the scene! We don't want the repeat of "all great empires fall, at one point または other". lol

Haha, that's why I'm moving out of America as soon as I graduate college. There are just to many ignorant people who refuse to accept the fact that maybe "the American way" isn't the best way, despite the fact that there is overwhelming proof that other systems work much better. I totally agree with you; we are stuck in the Cold War era. Probably, half the people who call Obama a "socialist" don't even know what the word means! It amazes me how people are so shocked that other countries are so far ahead of us. Universal Health Care should be freely given. I personally believe that health and good moral are far もっと見る important than money, though unfortunately many Americans disagree with that.

Yes it is. Why should we pay for the health care for some lazy unemployed person? And so what if we have to pay a little もっと見る in taxes? There are people who are barley making it as it is and some are still losing their houses. Have あなた seen the foreclosure rate?

Actually, only the richest 2% (or 5%, I can't recall at the moment, but it's definitely one of those two) are paying higher taxes. Those are the people who can afford to pay those taxes. The people who are losing their homes are the people getting the tax cuts. The foreclosure rate has to do with the economy being so crappy, and the fact that our middle class is disappearing (and middle class disappearance = horridness, every time). Actually, not all unemployed people are lazy. Some can't be employed. My cousin just graduated from an IV League college, and he can't get a job. It's about the economy, not the taxes. Healthcare should be 与えられた to everyone. I think the super-elite can afford to pay a little もっと見る tax money to benefit the majority. Money is way less important than the majority of people and their health (at least, I think so).

There are a lot of reasons I don't want national healthcare. I understand that what President Obama is trying to do is make health care もっと見る affordable for the working and lower class families. But it will give the government the power to tell us which doctors to see and what medicine we can take. Also I have epilepse but I have a good doctor and I take a medicine that controls my seizures and the thought of somebody saying I can't have them any もっと見る is scary. I think President Obama should listen to public opinion.

Hi cruella! Thanks for the comment. I can understand what you're going through and I hope one 日 a permanent cure will emerge. But are あなた sure あなた aren't looking at the wrong end of the stick? I mean, here in Denmark, we have universal healthcare, but I get to choose my own personal doctor! And I'm pretty much free to change to another one if I'm not satisfied with the one I have! No government organ will dictate my choice. I think Americans misunderstand the whole concept. Don't know why, but I suspect some political-economic interests...Well, I'm no politician and I'm not planning to be one, but I believe and will always believe that everybody should get access to medical care! It's a birthright, atleast over here! And what does the government got to do with what medicine my doctor may prescribe for me? または for that matter, what doctor I choose? I'm not trying to say that our system is the best. The only thing I know is that when I get sick, feel funny または just need a checkup, I just call my doctor and make an appointment! Even homelss people get medical care over here. No paradise, but better than letting people die または lose their jobs because of sickness! Now, if あなた were danish(I speak only for Denmark) あなた would get good medical care! One of my best フレンズ is an American, but she lives here in Denmark and like you, she has epilepsy! And guess what! She has the best treatment! And subsidised medicine! Just open up for new ideas and everything will sort themselves out. lol.

あなた have stated あなた have a pre-existing condition. I'm not wishing this on あなた at all, nor being mean, but if your current healthcare provider is dropped for any reason, あなた may not be able to get insurance elsewhere because of the pre-existing condition. Universal Healthcare would neuturalize this threat. I'm all for it.

But don't worry : our present and ever-stupid government wants to dismantle our Social Security and replace it with a private system like あなた have in the US. Many medicines and treatments are less and less refunded. もっと見る and もっと見る people delay their going to the doctor because they don't have the means to get treatment... Personally, I don't want this for my country and fellow citizens.

No and thank あなた for your comment. If Americans would simply research other countries and open their minds and hearts to the "right thing to do" then it would not be a problem. We have been a contry of Republican hate mongers for WAY too long. We need President Barack Obama to set this country on the right path. He is already WAY better than any Republican President EVER!!!!!!!!!

I agree with what あなた 発言しました about Americans really needing to open up our minds to other countries, and realize that the moral thing to do far outweighs the most money-making-for-the-richest-5% thing to do. But I think we can step back a little on the "Republicans are all haters" thing. I disagree with a lot of Republican points too, but that may be just a tad too far. But I do understand where you're coming from.

We don't all think its evil. I proudly voted for President Obama. I have 4 pre-existing conditions, one that cause me to have disability insurance. Its not socialism. And no we dont all " sit around while the rich pay for us." I cant get a job because we blew our surplus on Iraq and I am scared to get a job because of my conditions. I have to go to therapy. So don't tell me we don't try. I don't even come from a poor family. Im a middle-class citizen. My dad works for the Railroad and makes about 2,ooo + dollars a paycheck.
