What happened to Zuko's mother?

ATLA left us with the 質問 of what happened to Zuko's mother, Zuko asked his father but we never saw what he answered. Anyway, I am extremely curious and I wonder if in Avatar: The legend of Korra they give an answer. Ursa (Zuko's mother) was banished when Zuko was a young boy. This was because Ozai's father was planning to kill Zuko. Ursa pleaded with Ozai. They both created a plan. Ursa would secretly kill Ozai's father, then Ozai would become Firelord. Ozai then banished her in order to keep Zuko alive.
