Can the アバター have kids?

I heard that if the アバター has kids he loses his powers, but then again Zukko's grandfather was an アバター right? So how does that work out?

Aang does have a kid her name is Korra. Like every other bender who has had kids (kataras mom and dad, Ozai, Ursa) he keeps his bending. I don't see why he'd lose it. I guess until Aang passes away there will be two avatars.

Korra is not Aang's kid. Aang's kid isTenzin(boy), who will be helping Korra in her journey
