Ohhhh so hard to post without giving things away... I won't say the first one I thought of because it's the plot twist of Zetsuen no Tempest, if you've seen it, あなた know who I am talking about! I can't even post who is the tragic hero from the series because it would give everything away but they do die.
But the one I am going to post is Amon from the movie "The Boy who Saw the Wind." If あなた haven't seen the movie I recommend it, it's got a different アニメーション style and really make あなた think about the cost of war. It can be a bit confusing and ランダム sometimes but 全体, 全体的です I enjoyed it. Both of Amon's parents were killed and then when he finally finds peace somewhere, that is ripped away as well. I can't say too much without giving away the movie but the ending is both beautiful and tragic and Amon is a hero.
