So...I begin this によって saying that I am an adult ファン of Ariel. Impacted によって The Little Mermaid from the age of 9, I am an adult collector, and I currently have Ariel ALL OVER my adult bedroom.

I commend 作者 Liz Braswell on her "nods" to the elements found in the original 1989 film that is known world over. Some passages of the book she has written made sense to me, while other parts did not. *Eric getting a tattoo was not one of my stand-out お気に入り moments, and it jarred with all of the proceeding characterization 与えられた to him によって the author*

I suppose, for those who didn't 愛 Ariel's original personality--- her impulsiveness, wit, and curiosity--- "seeing Ariel now 'reigned in' によって ponderous adult responsibilities" provides a dimension that they'll appreciate more. Ariel spends most of the entirety of this book "as クイーン of Atlantica." There. No もっと見る spoilers. I, whose childhood was erected in much the same repressed household that Ariel's character "sprouted from," doesn't feel like "more was added to the character of Ariel" によって having the mermaid "stripped of her dreams"--- and "saddled with guilt." This book focuses heavily on an Ariel who "is riddled with guilt for having wanted to be a human." 読書 it, makes me wonder how this Ariel is really the same as the one in the 1989 film? If the 1989 film was about a strict parent (Triton) "relaxing his stranglehold on young adulthood," then this book really is about "a psychologically damaged adult mermaid" trying to "rectify problems that she did not, herself, create, but was merely 'a pawn' in, in the first place."
I don't understand the need for feminist trappings in this book, but like every ディズニー movie または ディズニー book these days, here the feminism is sprinkled heavily in as a 製菓, 菓子, お菓子の森 treat--- meant "to liven up the contents of whatever was already sweet” and "make it palatable for the newest consumers." Ariel was already a feminist character in 1989. Here in 2021, some 36 years later, she still causes a stir. There is no real need for "more feminist flourishes" on her character. Within this book, there is some lingering purulent odor, almost catering to the exact audience who has all these years "wished for Ariel to be punished" because she dared to leave the nest, and didn't want to be a mermaid in the first place.

Funnily enough, this version of Ariel LOVES her duality, and she prefers being a mermaid OVER being a human for much of the book. Talk about a 180 degree flip in identity issues. I found myself wondering how Howard Ashman would take all of this…

That being said, most of the nearly 500 pages of this book consist of very melancholy proceedings, not much helped によって the villain's presence. As to Ursula's "goings on," this occurs only midway through the book. We only grasp how much of "a real presence and villainous" Ursula is, during the last third of the book. ( I suppose, I wish ディズニー had clued Liz Braswell in on the "true reason Ursula got exiled によって Triton"--- which would have made for a far better story overall--- hence, why I picked this book up in the first place! But alas. No true reason is revealed for why Ursula originally got ostracized. Bdumptsss).
Braswell is good at moving the audience to pity over the plight of Ariel's "lost voice, her ロスト father, and her ロスト future with Eric." Braswell also is good at moving us to pity over the loss of Eric's "awareness" and "his agency." This premise of this book is that Eric "was stripped of his agency" just as Ariel "was stripped of her voice." This made for rather funereal proceedings as it were.
I am not exactly thrilled after 読書 this book, and neither am I totally disappointed. The "whiff" I got, along with Max, was that "nothing really new could happen for Atlantica または Eric's Kingdom even if Ursula won the game of dupes, and ruled over all." This was a let-down for me, because honestly, I was looking for why Ursula became so hell bent on revenge in situ.
Should あなた read this book as an Ursula fan? As an Ariel fan? As a ファン of neither one? Sure! It won't hurt to read it. But would I recommend this as something that should find a major place on your bookshelf at home? Nope. I think it's an "okay riff" on the musical piece that already exists. This entry into the plethora of The Little Mermaid 本 neither improves nor diminishes the original characters, and it certainly doesn't improve on the original context and plot. I became frustrated that the care-free aspect was very much annihilated. The original feel of Ariel being synonymous with "fun" and "exploration" was ロスト to me, until the very last pages.
Hi everyone, I'm ApplesauceDoctr here today with a short 記事 that's purely for fun. A while back I 投稿されました a アンケート where I associated some of the mushrooms in the game Plants vs. Zombies with the DPs, and now I wanted to expand on that while also providing some brief reasoning for my choices. Note that I'll be generalizing these characters quite a bit here, mostly looking at just one quality. This is all in good fun though, so let's begin! I'm actually going to start off with an unofficial princess:

Puff Shroom: Sofia (Sofia the First)
Sofia is the youngest and consequently smallest of...

Since Korean entertainment has dominated the whole of Asia, here are the ディズニー Princesses' favourite Korean dramas and why they 愛 it!

Iris (Mulan & Shang)

This Korean drama is about spying and espionage, this drama reminds me of both ムーラン and Shang because it teaches them about spying.

My Princess (Rapunzel & Flynn)

Although the story is very similar to the Princess Diaries, Rapunzel did not find out that she is a princess until later of the story.

Winter Sonata (Elsa, Kristoff & Anna)

As the タイトル mentions, this drama is very old but it SUITS/スーツ the trios. Both stories are set...

Today I'll be thinking of who'd come out champion in a fight of the ディズニー Princesses, first I'll be thinking of their advantages and disadvantages. Also I'm ignoring the obvious, their kingdoms.

Snow White:
A: Has All The Forest 動物 and the Seven Dwarves in her will, won't be fighting, she'd just be saying the commands for them, she does have her ways of getting people to do what she wants. She's very organized too
D: She is easily sabatoged and gullible. And forest 動物 aren't the strongest of animals. Besides she has no magic によって her side

Cinderella:
A: It isn't easy to make her pissed...

Okay, there was an interesting 記事 about シンデレラ that inspired me to write this 記事 on which princess will suit the famous songs from Les Miserables. So, are あなた ready? Here we go!

I Dreamed a Dream

シンデレラ would definitely sing this song, because she longs to breakaway from her abusive step-family. It was like when her happy days has turn into a nightmare, so I feel that she needs to sing this song at some point in the movie itself.

At the End of the Day

This song would definitely fit Tiana because her movie is set during the Great Depression, the financial crisis during that...

A while ago, I did a アンケート series called "A Movie Staring ディズニー Princesses" , deciding what roles ディズニー Princesses would play in a movie (results are down below. And then I 投稿されました a forum, deciding plots. Although I did decide most of the plot, many people helped me get started and got the plot going in my head, so I can't take all the credit. Thank あなた to those who participated- whether あなた helped in the forum, voted in the アンケー または both, and I'm sorry for the long wait. This will take place in a few parts- I don't know how many exactly, but I estimate four-five.

 The soundtrack
The soundtrack
Hi everyone, this is actually on my favourite deleted song from the movie, Frozen. As I had the Deluxe Edition of the soundtrack and here are my thoughts on which song it should have been in the movie.

We Know Better

This song is actually the origins of how Elsa is a contrast to Anna, who represents the good and evil force in them. It's kind of like the Prologue in Les Miserables as Valjean represents good while Javert represents evil as the story processes.
If the movie had been faithful to the original story, it would have been interesting to see the 2 princesses in these tendencies.

Spring...

Who do you choose? Live-action reboot or Animated???
So, since ディズニー has release 2 live-action reboots of their ディズニー classic animated feature. Here is what I think about which movie is better, as well as their animated counterparts.

Cinderella (1950 & 2015)

I would definitely go for the live-action version, as mentioned in my 前 articles. Ella has もっと見る personality compare to her animated counterpart, and of course, less screen-time for the mice.
However, no Bruno the dog! Also, no songs in it. I wish it was, but on the other hand, the producers and Kenneth Brannagh didn't want the movie to be to close to its original 1950 animated...

Ksenia Sukhinova (Miss World 2008 from Russia)
Hi guys, I have been wanting to write this 記事 for a long time, since I'm also a beauty pageant ファン myself too. I thought that it would be interesting to write about which ディズニー Princess do they look like and why. If あなた guys have your opinion, you're most likely welcome to write it down! Here are some of my favourite Miss Universe/ Miss World winners and their striking resemblance to the ディズニー Princesses.

Ksenia Sukhinova (Miss World 2008, Russia)

This Russian beauty has combo of シンデレラ and Princess Aurora, but most likely the latter because of their similar facial features and long...

In their movie, Aladdin really loves and respects Jasmine.
I have seen that many people on ファンポップ dislike Jasmine, または at least don't give her much credit. She happens to be my 2nd お気に入り princess, and I just 愛 how confident and adventurous she is. Here I will explain why I like her and deliver on some common things 発言しました against Jasmine.

Here are my お気に入り things about Jasmine:

She always stands up for herself. I 愛 Jasmine's style- she always stands up for herself and what she believes in. I don't think she's rude, selfish または unappreciative- how would あなた feel if あなた were trapped your whole life and forced to marry a pompous jerk who doesn't...

Who doesn't 愛 travel?

Well, I mean, I'm sure there are people who, beyond my comprehension, don't enjoy exploring other parts of the big wide world. But I 愛 travel. And I'm sure the Princesses would too. So here are the places the ディズニー Princesses would enjoy vacationing to. *Disclaimer: I have never been to these cities, so if I sound stupid, have mercy! I got most of my information from the internet.*

Snow White: Glorenza (Glurns), Italy

Snow White would 愛 to visit this tiny town in northern Italy, near the border with Switzerland. Since it is so small, with a population of only...

A collage made by me with some of the Disney Princesses
Here's the 2nd part of my お気に入り ディズニー Princess Christmas/Winter Outfits and this time I'm counting down the outfits seen in promotional images, they're quite many so I have to divide this part into 2 parts, this part covers placements 35-21 and the 2nd part of this covers all the remaining placements, this 一覧 was really hard to make, most of these outfits are lovely
Note: the collage here shows ディズニー Princess outfits that didn't make it into the 記事 because they're already shown wearing it または it looks too similar to another outfit they wear

こんにちは everyone! So I thought I'd try something new with this article. I have heard that あなた guys like criteria-based 記事 as well as opinionated 記事 so I am trying to combine the 2 for your liking. :D Because I'm a bit dorky and I 愛 making and solving math equations, I always make a formula to figure out my rankings. For this article, I took the 24 most important elements of a ディズニー Princess film to me and rated each film relative to those elements. I also then separated those 24 elements into 5 categories depending on how much I valued them (relative to each other) and factored...

I am currently rating every DP outfit, and here are the ones that aren't exactly magical. (Please note this doesn't include what they wore when they were little. It also doesn't include Elsa または Anna.)
Here we go!
Merida's Formal Outfit

No wonder Merida ripped this outfit- it hides her beautiful hair, and it seems like she can barely 移動する in it.

Cinderella's ピンク Ballgown

This dress is what happens when あなた ask critters living in your house to style a dress for you- an atrocity!

Ariel's Rag Dress

This is one of those outfits that sorta make あなた ask, "Is this a joke???" At least they...
