ディズニープリンセス 質問

Why are people petitioning Merida's redesign?

If it was just because people thought they were changing her character, then why didn't they petition ムーラン または Belle? Seriously, she doesn't even look that different, just curvier (which I didn't even notice until someone else pointed it out) and minimally glittery (especially compared to the others.)

あなた kind of answered the 質問 yourself. People 発言しました that she is sexualized, and shows cleavage (which I do not see) I also heard that some 発言しました she was in a sexual pose (again, I do not see). Another thing is that how she is not her character and how they glamorized her too much. Practically a bunch of parents who think that a princess is to blame for their child's issues.

Then I guess the 質問 would be, why not the others?

I have no clue. Ariel and ジャスミン were a lot もっと見る revealing and there were no petitions against them. I think it is the same people that really want Merida out of the Princesses, and those over exaggerating parents

curvy isn't the same as sexual. and Snow White is curvier with bigger boobs, too, but no one finds her sexual looking. But I agree, they just don't want Merida.

I totally agree. If an animated character is your child's biggest influence/role model, then あなた need to rethink your parenting skills.

It's because she's been aged によって a couple years, 与えられた もっと見る cleavage and a nipped in waist. Plus her lips are thicker, her eyes are もっと見る done up, and her hair is thicker. She has been considerably sexualised (as have all the girls). People aso have a problem with the dress not having her bow and arrow, but her DP look is based on the end scene which everyone is forgetting.

I am so G-DAMN ( excuse me) sick and tired of so called Feminists and experts BITCHING about ディズニー Princesses being " Bad role-models and too skinny" - Then によって God, don't ever let your child out in the real world. And I am over-weight, have been a good portion of my life, but I have NEVER EVER EVER, compared myself to a CARTOON PRINCESS. Its a drawing. Also just because the other ten Princesses might wear pink, glitter, dresses and get married does not make them anti-female.
Im sick of Feminists thinking they are making a valid point によって bashing men. Feminism is about equality not about what gender is better. Men are not evil または bad. We can get married. ディズニー Princesses can get married. Doesn't make them anti-female. Get a Grip " Experts"

Because she was meant to be the one tomboy princess for tomboy girls to relate and look up to. Glamorizing and sexualizing her, which she strongly resists in her movie and never gives into, sends a subliminal message to little girls that they all have to succumb to the fashion, sparkles, sexiness, etc.

Literally every other princess is feminine and gets dolled up in her movie. Merida was the one who was supposed to 表示する that not all princesses have to fit into the pretty, feminine, fashionable cookie-cutter stereotype. That there is no one right way to be a princess または a girl. That あなた can be a rough and tumble--JUST KIDDING!!! SHE'S A PRETTY SPARKLING 意地の悪い女, ヴィクセン TOO!! DON'T あなた WANT TO BE LIKE HER NOW, LITTLE GIRLS??

We know あなた THINK you're not into fashion, makeup, sparkles, etc. We know あなた think あなた relate to her because she's a rough-and-tumble tomboy who cares もっと見る about adventure, sports, etc. But really, all girls only care about fashion at the end of the day, and we know あなた do too.

We know we 発言しました "be yourself" in the film, but what we REALLY MEAN is conform to every other girly glammed image we've thrown at あなた so far. Conform to how society at large and the larger ディズニー Princess merchanising company tells あなた out all little girls are supposed to be, want to be, and be interested in.

FUCK. THAT.

^^^ What rhythmicmagic said. I AGREE completely. I have always felt that , and did again when I read what Brenda said. She should be happy they are even considering Merida. ( for no reason really)

Yes, she has aged. She's been 与えられた a considerably older figure. Movie Merida has small breasts, a thicker waist and a figure that hinted she wasn't finished puberty yet. Merch Merida has a bigger chest, slimmer waist, smaller torso, and bigger hips. She's clearly a woman in merch, versus a teen in the movie.

Teenagers can have curves too, and Merida's chest is still small. Thei just thinned her up a bit. If anyone aged, it was Snow White, but nobody is complaining about that. And the merch picture is smaller than the movie picture. Like I said, if an animated character is a big または a child's biggest role model, then that parent needs to 質問 their parenting skills

What I meant was it is okay if a child looks up to a princess (my 7 and 8 年 old cousins look up to them), but Snow White and シンデレラ are not their BIGGEST role models; their biggest role モデル are their parents, aunts, cousins, and friends. Most children know that the ディズニー characters are older and are fake. At the end of the day, the PARENT is supposed to raise their children and to make them feel secure about themselves. And no, an animated character was NOT my biggest inspiration, because I knew that they were fictional, and that this was supposed to be a fairy tale (to escape reality). No one is attacking あなた Jessikaroo, and I know it is hard. あなた have your opinion, and I have mine

I see the change in her look, but I don't really see a reason why they'd petition for it. It's not that big of a deal. (I suppose I would've made a fit with her eyes though). But I suppose it that would be what she'd look like in the official lineup, maybe it is. Either way, あなた can just mend that problem によって watching メリダとおそろしの森 and focus on what she really looks like and not how ディズニー made her look like.
