Willow tilted her head as she sat across the 表, テーブル from Wally.
“Hey Wally? Why do あなた eat so much?”
Wally looked up at his girlfriend sitting on the other side of the 表, テーブル at Mt. Justice. He pause briefly from inhaling his sixth helping of スパゲッティ to answer.
“Just because.”
Willow tilted her head even もっと見る as Wally began to stuff his face again. She stayed quiet, demanding もっと見る of an explanation. Wally sensed this and sighed through his nose. He set his fork down and finished chewing before swallowing to answer.
“Being the 秒 fastest human on earth, I also have the 秒 fastest metabolism. According to Uncle B, we can pretty much keel over and die if we're trying to run on empty, and since I'd rather stay around for a while, I eat a bit もっと見る than...other people.”
Wally's tone had slipped into, what he called, his teacher tone. He gave a sheepish smile as Willow continued to stare at him, pondering this through. Finally, she smiled and went to the freezer.
“Dessert?”
“Hey Wals, why are あなた so yellow?” Willow asked as Wally finished putting the カウル over his face.
“Just because,” Wally answered, looking in the mirror.
Willow stared at his back, despite the fact that they had a mission. Wally sighed.
“Because I'm trying to be my own person. Uncle B 発言しました that every future hero has to find their own look. Besides, yellow is cool. I look like lightning while he looks like really fast ketchup.”
Willow nodded, placing the mask on her face.
“Got it. But explain the mad scientist goggles.”
“What? あなた don't like them?” Wally asked, picking up his number one accessory.
“No I do. But why do あなた have them?”
“Because when あなた run as fast as I do, things can get stuck in your eye. If that were to happen I could loose my balance and fall, possibly becoming injured または worse.”
Willow nodded again before Erin stopped at the door.
“We gotta go!” Erin shouted before zooming off.
The two followed, but Wally noticed that, after that mission, his goggles were always much cleaner.
“Hey Wals? Wally? Are あなた asleep?”
Willow's voice was hushed as she nuzzled the exposed skin of Wally's neck.
“I was,” a sleepy grumble 発言しました from the opposite side of the bed.
“Hey Wally, why do あなた 愛 me?”
Her voice hadn't gotten any louder, but the insecurity in Willow's voice was easy to hear even for Wally's muddled brain.
“Willow, can't this wait til morning?” he asked, hoping she'd drop it and let him sleep.
Willow remained silent as her chin rested on Wally's shoulder while her eyes stared intently at the nightstand clock.
“It's morning,” she whispered the 秒 the glowing green numbers switched to 12:00.
With a loud huff and another grumble, Wally rolled over so he could and Willow were nose-to-nose.
“You want to know why I love? Fine. I'll tell you. Your insecure, jealous, and distracting. あなた can be totally unhappy with tears down your face one 秒 and then be all gushy with a smile the next. あなた always eat healthy, あなた try to get me to do the same. Your a neat freak and I'm always forced to pick my things up. You're over protected and crazy with sugar. あなた do what your told, but you'll happily スプリット, 分割 any kind of sugary, サワー treat with me. あなた either hog all the covers または hug me so tight I dream I'm getting strangled によって an anaconda. No joke-don't laugh. And あなた know what?”
Willow's eyes were wide as Wally stopped to take a deep breath.
“I 愛 absolutely everything about you. From the annoying little habits to all the sappiness that you're embarrassed about. You're amazingly talented, あなた have a pure heart, and your genuinely beautiful. There is nothing I wouldn't do for あなた cause you're my お気に入り girl. Your blush is adorable, あなた キッス with your soul, あなた do little things for me when あなた think I'm not looking, あなた put up with my crazy sometimes childish antics, oh, and your family is crazy. Maybe insane And guess what? I'm gonna ask あなた to marry me someday. Now, I'm going back to sleep.”
Willow stayed where she was, but turned her back to him. She relaxed when Wally's arms surrounded her and she heard his breath even out. She smiled when she heard him begin to snore.
“You know, a simple because would have been enough.”
