Well… How about that Bethesda? How about that Fallout 76? How about that Todd Howard and his Sweet Little Lies? Yeah, I am really aware of how cool it is right now to hate on Fallout 76, and I am aware that not a lot of people are ファン of Skyrim. In fact, hating it is kind of a law now, but just because 76 is a mistake, that doesn’t mean I will grow to hate Skyrim, no matter how many times they re-release it.
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim takes place in, well, Skyrim, as the hero of the story, known as Dragonborn, comes to find that the land is under attack によって dragons. So, with the use of his voice, a voice that allows him to shout spells in the language of the dragons, he must battle the dragons, as well as their leader, Alduin, and save the kingdom and the world from ruin. The game is your typical medieval ファンタジー RPG. あなた got your humans living with elves, reptilian humanoids, and neko people, as well as having to fight off skeletons, wolves, bandits, giants, trolls, and the occasional ランダム enemy that あなた find. Skyrim was a game that I loved to explore. Yes, the endless mountains that あなた can climb as been memed to hell and back, but regardless of their being a to where あなた can go, I still 愛 traveling across Skyrim. Compared to the green, green, and もっと見る green of Oblivion, Skyrim really mixes it up with lushes green forests, tall snowy mountains, Dwarven cities, dark caves, bandit camps, and towns ranging from small villages to bustling kingdoms. Just travelling down the path at night as the games lovely orchestra soundtrack plays in the background is always something fun to do. Especially if あなた look up at the sky to see different moons, stars, constellations, adn planets. あなた just look at it and say, “Oh, what is that thing”. Sure, the character モデル all look like chimney sweepers in an old British stage play, but the environments are real beautiful. From the snow, to the grass, to the ants on a 木, ツリー stump. It all impresses me and I really 愛 exploring Skyrim just so I can find very miniscule details like this. And the use of the voices, which is new to Skyrim, add to a lot of fun. And I mean もっと見る fun than just shouting your followers off a cliff and watching them go a mile away. That’s a different kind of fun. From shouting to summon ドラゴン to freezing your foes in place, there are a ton of dragon shouts to find, and it makes exploring all those caves with Norse zombies and angry goblin creatures worth it, that and the ton of ゴールド and weapons あなた get from the treasure chests at the end. And even years later, I am still not done with the game. It’s not endless, I am aware, but there is so much to do with this game as far as side quests go. And with the DLC, it just adds もっと見る and もっと見る to the game then there already is, and I just 愛 going through it, even if, I will admit, the combat is nothing too special.
Skyrim is, yes, far from a perfect RPG. The combat is lame, the story is really dumb, and it has every medieval ファンタジー trope in the book, but I had hours, and hours of fun with Skyrim. もっと見る hours than I did with Fallout 3 または Oblivion, honestly. I don’t care how many times they release Skyrim, because I still have fun with it. I’ll damn Bethesda for Fallout 76, and I think anyone will, but they did a good job with Skyrim.
