Oddly enough, my career history is very hands-on and busy, but in all honesty I often find myself wishing these days that I had a calmer job. Specifically, one where I didn't feel like I was always putting my life at risk!

(I'm no police officer myself, but if you've ever worked in a school full of kids with anger issues, you'll know what I'm talking about!)

Tbh, I have plenty of family members and friends that were/are police officers, and it is a thankless occupation, so I wouldn't even humor the thought. It's the type of job where you could work over 16 hours straight and STILL be forced to take your next shift a few hours later. You can get in trouble for calling in sick too often, even if you legitimately are, and a million other things due to lazy superiors whose egos take precedence over making the right decision. Plus, people record you... Which is obviously good in cases where men and women undeserving of their uniforms are abusing their powers, but most of the time, civilians don't want to accept responsibility for driving too fast or some bs like that, and they act like bullies with their cell phone cameras and drag out their ordeals.

I know working on a farm would be VERY demanding as well, but at least I'd be my own boss.
