Prologue
I never thought it would happen like this. The Quileute’s on my left, and the Cullen’s on my right. Both people I thought I could 愛 and trust. Both ready to kill me. I waited in weary anticipation as Edward and Jacob took two steps towards me, both looking upset yet focused at the same time. I felt my new family stir uneasily behind me, bound によって the same thing that kept me from running full throttle for the other side of the world. As I looked past the two advancing monsters, I saw Alice and Esme, staring at me with sad and pained looks on their faces, looking as if they would be crying, if that were not impossible. I threw them an approximation of a smile, trying not to cry myself as the two men in my life, who vowed to 愛 and protect me, moved closer to the kill, both coiled to spring. With one last deep breath, I took my last look at the beautiful ocean that surrounded us, closed my eyes and let a quiet tear escape, while both vampire and werewolf sprang.

Summit Entertainment isn't wasting any time in their 検索 for a director for New Moon and Eclipse, the much-anticipated follow-ups to their uber-hit vampire flick Twilight. Deadline Hollywood Daily's resident troublemaker Nikki Finke is reporting that they've offered the job to Chris Weitz, director of one of last year's biggest flops, The Golden Compass. Why? Summit reportedly liked the job Weitz did with visual effects on the film, which snagged a 2007 Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects. New Moon and Eclipse should both demand higher levels of visual effects than the Catherine Hardwicke-directed predecessor, and Weitz's skills will be especially handy should either film's plot be re-written to involve giant polar くま, クマ fights.
