When a "newborn" vampire wakes up after being injected with venom, their eyes are red for a while. That's why her eyes are red instead of golden when she wakes up. I know my explanation is REALLY long, but if あなた haven't read the series または seen the movies, I wanted あなた to understand what's going on as best as possible.
