Riley was so boring, I simply cannot take him seriously in anything else Marcus does. On Lie To Me he was a jerk and on Castle he was a guy with amnesia. I dozed through both of those episodes and had to rewatch them to find out what had happened.

I didn't mind Riley that much. Though Season 4 was probably the most boring because of him. I'll have to go with Willow & Kennedy.

Okay Briley was at least somewhat necessary. She did need a human relationship even though I really hate them together. They were cute in the beginning before everything got all screwed up. But Willow/Kennedy is one of the WORST things EVER!!! Gahhhhh I hate this so freaking much.

^And agreed that Riley is the reason s4 is so boring!

Kennedy is just a plain bitch, who else here wanted to jump through the screen and knock her out after she turned on Buffy in 'Empty Places'?

I don't hate Briley. Willow & Kennedy are one of the worst couples in the history of television!

What AnaHallam said and Swimchick! I dont hate Briely that relationship was necessary and to be honest they had some cute moments, it just came after the epicness of bangel and before the maturness of Spuffy so it had alot to contend this! Howver W & K just bad pairing to be honest!

I can't stand the fact that Kennedy continued on as Willow's girlfriend into the comics, what was so wrong with killing her off at the end of season 7?

I think BOTH relationships were kind of necessary and brought some really important aspects to the show but I also really did NOT like either of these couples. But without Buffy dating Riley- the initiative wouldn't have seemed nearly as manipulative and as complicated to death with as it was, plus as others said- she needed to date someone human.... and Kennedy really helped us get some great Willow & Tara closure scenes. We needed Willow to kiss someone else and to start having feelings for someone else in order for her to feel guilty moving on and for us to get those extremely intense and powerful scenes in "The Killer in Me".

But ultimately as much as I thought Kennedy was annoying and didn't like her with Willow... I don't think she brought Willow down as much as Riley brought Buffy down. I liked Riley before Hush (so I guess before they became a couple haha). He tries to be a nice guy and cares about Buffy and he sees what is so special about her... but he is so frickin threatened by her strength that it sickens me. He acts so selfish and so much of their relationship was Buffy kicking evil's ass and then Buffy having to comfort Riley since he was worried she was stronger than him and that she didn't love him enough. GROW UP! Xander, Giles, Angel, Spike and Oz (main males on the show) all accepted Buffy as their leader. They all not only accepted the fact that she was stronger than them (well Spike in season 5 onward) but embraced it! They allowed her to rescue them time and again. Yet Riley thinks he is too macho for it.
And then he goes letting a vampire suck his blood and acts like he is justified because he's jealous of Buffy and doesn't feel like he understands her or connects with her. Then you break up with the person... you don't cheat on her and risk your life!
Buffy & Riley had some cute scenes at the beginning of season 4... and I don't HATE them... but I thought Riley acted like a pathetic jealous and immature little boy who was so threatened by his girlfriend that he tried to bring her down with him. But I probably feel especially strongly that I don't like their relationship because Buffy is my favorite character and I hate seeing people bring her down and make her feel guilty for being herself!

I didn't ship Buffy and Riley but I understand why the writers paired them together. Buffy needed to date some more 'normal' after Angel. I actually wish they left him as a normal guy then turn him into an operative of the initiative and later on some weirdo vampire blood donor but whatever.

Kennedy and Willow were just awful. The actress who played Kennedy grated, they had no chemistry and I couldn't believe that Willow was already moving on after being so heartbroken over Tara's death.

I like Briley. :P Just not nearly as much as I love Spuffy!

Anyone coming directly after Angel would be pretty bad but this was MAJOR fail.

I hated Kennedy! I was a major Willow/OZ fan, but even more than that I loved Tara... So Kennedy was a big NO NO... Also she was a Bitch! I hated how she treated Buffy, she acted as if Buffy didn't care about anyone but herself. When in fact she hadn't been there the past 6 years. So she had no place to talk... I also hated that Willow pretty much defended Kennedy to Buffy! Some friend.

I loved Buffy and Riley, not as much as Bangel, but I still loved them!!!!

I have been re-watching Buffy and the only season i haven't re-watching is season 7. I don't really remember Kennedy who I'm guessing is in season 7 so i went with Riley/Buffy cause i really do hate Riley. he's just so boring. he's comes after angel, who I'm not a fan of either but better than Riley, (SPIKE RULES) so it amplify s the boring factor.
