VERONICA
Carter’s Perspective
As I’m walking with the pack, I instantly realize there is a clear leader. Veronica. She was もっと見る than your average coyote. She actually had reddish-brown 毛皮 instead of the generic gray-brown. She still had the piercing yellow eyes that coyotes are known for, but hers made あなた feel like she was staring straight into your soul… She made it clear she was the leader, too. She in fact came straight up to me and told me, “Hey! Newbie. I’m the leader of this pack, okay? Ain’t ever gonna become some fancy-shmancy leader.”
It was pretty clear if あなた ask me. However, she reminded me daily. She acted as if she knew that I would somehow sneak my way into power.
She had two brothers. Her twin, Mark (much, much, MUCH nicer than her), and her older brother Luke (if anything ten times as mean of Veronica).
She doesn’t talk very much about her parents. I think they were hunted によって some humans just for fun.
Some things about humans confuse me. Mice don’t kill other mice, ネコ don’t kill other ネコ (most of the time), so why do humans have to go and kill other humans over something as stupid as money? または someone breaking up with them?
Humans don’t have much logic if あなた ask me. It’s like, for instance, giving me wet 食 または dry food. Oh! The human might think, Look! I bet good ol’ Carter would 愛 this wet dog food! They arrive at home, and open the can. Ewwwwww… This looks disgusting! Oh well, though. イヌ do like strange things, right? True, the dry dog 食 looks way tastier, but what am I to know? The problem: they just don’t realize who disgusting it really does taste. They’ll never know until あなた really try it. It scars あなた forever. Seriously, word for the wise, don’t give someone anything that あなた yourself have never tried before. Unless あなた work at a restaurant. If あなた work in a restaurant, あなた probably can’t try everything. Sorry, my mind was just wandering.
Anyways, I don’t blame her for hesitating. These guys can be influenced super easy. Just the other day, I saw Luke walk over there and say, ‘Hey! This tumbleweed tastes awesome!’ as a joke, but just about every single one of them walked up to one, took a bite, and replied, ‘Gee! You’re right!’ They’re almost as bad as humans.
She really knows how to take control. Quick, too! All she has to do is three short yips and bam! Silence. It’s pretty incredible.
She took me in, she says, as a trainee. She’s been teaching me how to howl properly, how to survive if I were the only “coyote” remaining in the pack, stuff like that.
A few months later, I’m a big part of the pack. Everyone started looking up to me (with the exception of Veronica and Luke). I had no idea how persuasive I was. I was really starting to make my mark on these guys…

but now its over
and i am not going back
had my ハート, 心 broken
had my dreams blown away
it only took あなた a second
to rearrange my whole day
I use to know you
but now its over
and i see that now
あなた blew me away
far from here
and i couldnt make it back
but i bet あなた knew that
I use to know
someone like you
he was friendly
but i left him behind
in the rain
in the cold
where i couldnt see him
i hope you're different
it would help
if あなた werent exactly like him
nice to know you
but i must go
and protect my soul
how nice of あなた to stop by
but please go ホーム now
I use to know you
but now im long gone
and it feels great'
to leave that burden behind
i wont see あなた again
i wont be there when あなた fall
just know that i
wont pick あなた up again
