I was in the TDA dressing room, deciding on which outfit to wear.
“Rebecca?” Chris poked his head into the dressing room. “Are あなた ready?”

AGH! I was half dressed! I wasn’t wearing a shirt!

Double AGH. “Chris. Excuse me, but you’re in the GIRLS’ changing room…? And this is on camera…?”
“Oh, right. See あなた later, girl.” He waved at me, and I, despite myself, reached up to wave back. What, I was friendly to everyone!
That’s when I noticed I was STILL half-dressed.
“Oh, holy CRAP!” I yelled. “Yeah?” Chris said, grinning at me. “Nothing,” I said. “Move it.” I took onto my ‘bossy’ tone and pointed past him.
“Okay… okay… sheesh.” I could hear him mutter to himself. I quickly put my blue シャツ and lavender hoodie on and slipped out. That’s when I saw Gwen. And someone with her.
NO. Don’t tell me that was… No. It couldn’t be! Duncan wouldn’t do that.
“Hey guys!” I waved. “Duncan! Gwen! Over here!” I smiled.
Gwen faced me. “Is it true?” She demanded. “T-true?” I squeaked. “What do you…”
Duncan faced me, his face soft. “That you’re leaving. I overheard あなた talking to Chris.”
Oh. That. Well, I didn’t want to talk about that. “Uh… yeah.” I’m sure I was blushing.
Duncan waved his hand. “Gwen? A little privacy, please?”
Gwen rolled her eyes and smiled. “What, making out with your girlfriend?”
“NO,” Duncan said. “Just… please.” Gwen giggled and left.
Um… “So…” Duncan gazed at me.
“So…?” I repeated.

“I’m sorry.” I choked. “I didn’t know what I was doing.”
“You sure didn’t,” He said, his voice rising. “Why were あなた flirting with Chris?”
WHAT? “I was not! Why would あなた think that?”
“I saw you, Rebecca.” It was the first time he had 発言しました my real name. “You smiled at Chris.”
“I’m sorry…” I repeated. “I have a habit of flirting with guys. But I must admit…”
I took a deep breath. I saw Duncan’s baby blues widen.
“I 愛 you.” I sighed. It was true, anyway. At least, I thought it was…

Wow, did she really say that? That… she loved me? It seemed so real when she 発言しました it, but I felt it coming, while at the same time I didn’t… I didn’t make sense; it was all so frustrating. Did she 愛 me? Maybe. Kiyurie WAS very good at bribery. No. I shook my head. What are あなた thinking? I 発言しました to myself.
She loved me. That’s all that matters. For now.

ARGH! What was wrong with me? Kiyurie would never, ever like me if she knew about that.
“Kiyurie…” I breathed in her name. It sounded beautiful.
“Yeah?” She tilted her head, blushing.
“Um… thanks.”
She blinked. “Sure.”
Okay. I knew I was 芝居 like a total doofus. I couldn’t do anything but stare. Ergh. It was creepy how that girl could do that to me. That had never happened before.

Um…? What the HELL did I just DO? I sighed. He was so cute. Just seeing him made me want to-

Ugh. Chris.
“Over here!” I called. I turned to Duncan.
“So, this is goodbye?” He sighed. He had a defeated look in his eyes.
“I guess so.”
“Be careful.” He kissed me on the cheek. I smiled.
“Thanks.”
“Until then,” He said, trying to be cheerful.

“Um, we’ll tell everyone that あなた decided to leave.”

“Bye, Chris,” I said. I waved sourly at him.
“Bon voyage, Kiyurie.” He smiled at me.
I flopped in the backseat, sighing, thinking what the hell I had done.
