Γεννήθηκε στην Οτάβα στις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου 1984, όπου έζησε μέχρι 7 ετών.
Σε ηλικία 6 ετών άρχισε μαθήματα πιάνου και σε ηλικία 11 ετών μαθήματα τρομπέτας. Τα τελευταία 10 χρόνια σπούδαζε πιάνο και φωνητική στο Royal Conservatory of Music. Αποφοίτησε από τη Δραματική Σχολή του York University.
