John was a complete asshole to me. But that's just my opinion. If the same question would've asked, but Zach was replaced with Isobell, then I would choose John. Because there have to be some humans that are bad-ass too of course. But I just didn't like him. And there's not that much told about Zach so I wonder how his life was. Did he know of Elena "the petrova doppelganger" already and hid it for Stefan & Damon for many years?

He started being a really good father to Elena right before he died. I think Elena could really use that. We didn't really get to know Zach very well.
