Before あなた read this please understand that this is purely opinion. I'm not saying that it's fact that SE aren't soul mates...but to ME they aren't. Feel free to コメント your own views. I'm very curious to see what everyone else thinks. I tried not to be too biased, but obviously it has come through. Also, I am not bashing SE! I am just saying how I view their relationship compared to what the writers say about them. So let's go:


From the beginning of The Vampire Diaries, all the writers have done has praised SE e.g:

Damon carried Elena over the doorstep, like a bride and kicked the door with his foot, in an attempt to shut Bonnie outside. However, she just in time stopped the door from locking and she entered the Gilbert house.
“I’ll take her to bed” Bonnie 発言しました authoritative. But Elena groaned sleepy and clung on Damon’s neck. Damon ignored Bonnie and carried Elena upstairs to her bedroom. He opened her door, walked her to her ベッド and gently lay her down.

Damon was sitting in the couch, his head in his hands. “Is it still not over?” Elena asked slightly worried. “I gave あなた two painkillers, it shouldn’t hurt no more” Damon looked up and gave her an irritated glance. “I’m not making this up, if that’s what あなた think” “I didn’t say I think you’re making this up” Elena defended herself. “I just find it strange… Maybe あなた need to get a doctor” “Yeah, let’s do that” Katherine scornfully said. She came from out of the kitchen. “Let’s go to a nice doctor and have him examine Damon. Surely he wouldn’t notice...

Caroline was hanging in the Grill when her phone rang. She let out a deep sigh when she noticed it was her ex-boyfriend Matt. “Hey, Matt” she said. “Caroline, hi, I’m glad I can finally reach you” Matt replied. “What do あなた mean?” Caroline asked avoiding. It had been two days since she last spoke to him and she had very consciously ‘missed’ his calls. “Is something wrong? Are あなた avoiding me? Because if あなた do I would understand. Katherine’s POV

Damon’s POV

“Damon, everyone can see us” Elena mumbled uneasy, while Damon’s hot and wet kisses made her body feel like it was set on fire. She gave up resisting and threw her arms around Damon’s neck. She turned around Damon and pushed him down. She sat on his lap and kissed him again.
She wanted to open his button-down, when she gasped and her eyes bulged.

Bonnie was sitting in Indian style on the floor of Caroline’s room. A book was lying open and three candles were surrounding it. She vowed her hands and whispered the words on the pages.
The front door slowly opened and someone slowly walked upstairs. The latch of the door in Caroline’s room went down and the door slowly opened.
“I thought あなた couldn’t do magic anymore”
“Oh my God!” Bonnie shrieked. She quickly got up and turned on the light. She bent and blew out the candles. “What the hell are あなた doing here?” she whispered loud and reproaching.
