The crying hadn’t stopped for hours. A baby with an ear infection was no fun.
Y/N was walking around the kitchen, bouncing Grace up and down, trying to get the wails to stop.
“Baby, what do あなた want?” I’ve done about everything I can,” Y/N almost pleads with the baby. “Mommy wants to sleep.”
I was suddenly aware of the fact the Y/N didn’t sleep at all last night.
I walk over to Y/N, and take the baby from her. “I got baby duty tonight.”
Crap.
I’m screwed.
“Are あなた serious?” Y/N asks, eyes wide.
“Yeah,” I smile.
What am I doing? I 愛 Grace to death but…
“Ok I’m going to ベッド then.” She bolts from the room after giving me a quick キッス on the cheek.
“This isn’t going to be bad,” I thought.
I look down at my crying baby. “Alright Gracey, ready for some daddy-daughter bonding time?”
The answer to my 質問 is just もっと見る sobs.
“Alrighty then.” I say, shifting her a bit.
“Should we watch some Sesame Street?” I ask.
In all honesty Sesame 通り, ストリート wasn’t that bad.
She just keeps crying.
“I’m going to assume that’s a yes.” I saw, grabbing her sippy cup and blanket on the way to the couch.
I turn on the TV, which already had the Sesame 通り, ストリート tape in it.
Kermit the Frog was on.
“See Gracey, あなた 愛 Kermit, don’t あなた baby?”
The wails keep coming.
“Why are there so many, songs about rainbows, and what’s on the other side.” Kermit the Frog sang.
“This is a good song…” I saw, looking down at the baby.
She just keeps on crying.
I decided I needed to entertain myself.
“Someday we’ll find it, the 虹 connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me.” I sing along with the TV.
And the crying stops.
Grace looks up at me, sniffling, eyes wide.
So I keep singing. “All of us under its spell, we know that’s its probably magic.”
I finish out the song, watching her fall asleep.
I would 愛 to sing to my baby girl every night now because of this.

“Olivia….” I start. The box of 子猫 was not something I wanted in this house.
“I found them down the street, daddy. This is one is Muffins, this one is Daisy.. And that’s Peaches.” She smiles up at me.
“Olivia… Do we really need these?”
“Daddy… They need a home.”
“We can find them one.”
“But they’ll 愛 it here!” She says pouting. “I’ll feed them, I’ll play with them, I’ll take them on walks, and I’ll have お茶, 紅茶 parties with them.”
“Cats don’t go on walks… And I don’t think they drink tea.”
“Please daddy.”
I hate it when she does this.
“Go talk to your mom.” I sigh.
