I imagine all of the past games and different arenas. Jungles, forests, meadows, ocean beaches, deserts, and アナと雪の女王 tundras. The different ways the people die. The screams and last words. The splattered blood and the hovercraft arm picking up the unmoving creatures. As sudden as it started, I awake from the dream with a start, as I spring up sweaty and gasping for air. I have my pad and pencil in my clutches tightly, as I let them drop them to the ground, looking at my hands, then myself in the mirror. I shake myself awake, get ready to meet my mentor, Deidre Allind, victor if the 14th games. At 26, she is still as fit, and stable as ever. We will also finally meet Leonel Trunics, District 7's escort this year. As I wait to get summoned によって Leonel または Deidre, I flip through the pages of my poem notebook. I read one:
Horses

Their body, glistening in the moonlight
Their hooves going
"Clippity clop, clippity clop"
Running faster than the wind
Its mane flowing in the air
Around and around the track it goes
Not stopping

Heaving, breath after breath
One hoof goes over the other
Nostrils flaring
Its green eyes lighting up

I shut it as I start to tear up, as that will be the last poem I'll ever write in my life, and the last I read as well, as I do not expect to come out of this arena alive. I lay down, with my hands covering my face and eyes, as I hear a knock at the door. I shoot up, rub away any signs of tears and 作成する myself, as I say, "Come in." I see Deidre Allind, as she introduces herself and walks me down to breakfast. The first thing she says I guess I knew, but in my ハート, 心 but didn't have the courage to tell myself. I gulp and put my head down in shame and fear as she speaks it.
