Back in November, Deadline reported that Lionsgate already had a short 一覧 of writers they wanted to pen the sequel to "The Hunger Games." According to the report, Simon Beaufoy, the writer behind the Academy Award-winning "Slumdog Millionaire" script, topped the list.
Now the Los Angeles Times is reporting that not only has Beaufoy signed on to write "Catching Fire," but that director Gary Ross will return as well. There had been no direct confirmation that Ross would return, and until "The Hunger Games" comes out, there probably won't be, but as things stand, Ross will likely direct.
Ross and 作者 Suzanne Collins originally planned to reteam for the "Catching Fire" script, after having collaborated on the "Hunger Games" screenplay. Postproduction work on the first film and the looming proposed release 日付 for the 秒 didn't allow Ross to begin work on the sequel.
Beaufoy, whose other 書く credits include "127 Hours" and "The Full Monty," will adapt Collins' book, with Ross overseeing. There are four films planned for the three-book series. The final book, "Mockingjay," will likely be スプリット, 分割 into two flicks if the producers stick to their original plan.
The first film of the series — starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth — is scheduled for release March 23. For now, "Catching Fire" is scheduled to hit theaters November 22, 2013. The stars of "The Hunger Games" are all expected to return, per sequel clauses in their contracts.

Look people! There is no "Team Peeta", または "Team Gale". This book isn't a romance. It's about a distopia and what violence does to people. あなた won't think your little teams are so cute when あなた read Mockingjay. Gale kills Prim and Peeta goes insane and thinks Katniss is evil! It's a dark, emotional book!! Don't あなた dare compare it to the stupid series where ヴァンパイア "sparkle"! "Oh no! He's sparkling! Ahh!" もっと見る like, he's sparkling, let's never let him use glitter unsupervised again. NO ANGRY COMMENTS. Of course you're gonna ignore me and make them but I don't really care.
I was on mockingjay.net and saw picture of someone with the mockingjay book and it wasn't an advance copy.
apparently, it was being sold at Wal-Mart. i think this is Wal-mart's cheap strategy on getting a lot of money. They released the book 3 days ahead of schedule.
So annoyed that Wal-mart would do that and what ever あなた do, please don't buy it, it would kill everything!!!
Can people check at there local Wal-mart to see if they already released the book and if they are, can あなた please tell them to stop the sale of the book.
