well a good book I've read was umm, Prey. If you're into all that science fiction stuff which clearly あなた are since あなた read The Host. Its a really good book. A little depressing but it's a good read. seriously..
Nothing really. But I've read Pillars Of The Earth によって Ken Follett and Under The Dome によって Stephen King. They're really great, but difficult to read. If あなた want something simpler, something もっと見る like The Host, I have to recommend The Hunger Games によって Suzanne Collins. Read about the book, I think you'll like it.

The Hunger games were pretty cool... the third book is coming out in September!
Well, if あなた want to continue with the theme of science fiction または "magic realism" maybe Michael Ende または Isaac Asimov. There are also good latinamerican authors of this "kind" like Gabriel García Márquez and Juan Rulfo. And if あなた want to play it safe, read Jane Austen, she never fails and she's my personal お気に入り :D.
Hunger Games and The Immortal Instruments series are both really good recommendations, あなた could also try Graceling it's ファンタジー not really sci-fi but it was a great read.

Another good read after The Host is 'Evermore' によって Alyson Noel,from the Immortals series. It's about an Immortal called Damon and a girl called Ever who has just ロスト all of her family in a car crash. Just like my all time favourite book The Host,I couldn't put this book down.
