This isn't a fanfiction of any book または anything, I wrote it all...I hope it's allowed...anyways, on with the story.

Secrets of the Shadows
“Why are we here, Ethan?” Sarah whispered as we moved through the cemetery. It was a cool, quiet night with the moon glaring down at us. No one was around, but considering it was midnight and we were creeping around a graveyard, that wasn’t surprising. It was quite relieving actually. I couldn’t face this in front of other people, except Sarah of course.
I looked at Sarah, her eyes shining in the moonlight. “I’ve been coming every night to see…her. But I couldn’t face it alone tonight. I need あなた with me.”
There was a sigh and Sarah took my hand. She forced me to look at her. “Ethan, listen to me. I know あなた miss your mom. I know how hard this is. Trust me, I do. But this needs to stop. あなた can’t keep coming out here every night; it’s not good for you.”
I sat down suddenly, feeling as if my strength was seeping out of me. “I just, I don’t - it’s so hard. I don’t know what to do.”
“You need to accept that she’s gone and not coming back. あなた need to 移動する on Ethan. Instead of thinking about the bad, think about the good. Think of all the great times あなた had together and let that be how あなた remember her.” Sarah 発言しました softly, crouching down 次 to me. “And no もっと見る coming to see her grave at night. Not only does it make it もっと見る difficult, but it’s not safe. あなた know that.”
I nodded, holding back a sob. She got to her feet and helped me up. “You’re right. Of course あなた are. You’re always right.” I smiled weakly. “Thank you. But…since we’re here…do あなた mind?”
“I guess we might as well.” Sarah sighed. “But let’s make it quick, it is really creepy out here.”
As we made our way through the graveyard, we were mice. The slightest sound echoed through the night. So of course I just had to fall over. My foot snagged on a root and I tumbled down, the quiet making it seem louder than it should. I landed face first and got a mouth full of wet leaves and dirt
“Ethan?” Sarah breathed. “Are あなた okay?” I nodded and started to push myself up when the gravestone to my right caught my eye. It was probably the brightest stone in the whole place which meant I could read it. The name was covered with vines but the inscription was clearly visible.
“That’s creepy,” I said. “This grave says ‘Beware the shadows.’ Is that ominous または what?”
“Come on, get up. I think we should go, I have a really bad feeling.” Sarah grabbed my shoulder, trying to pull me up. I resisted; I wasn’t going to leave without seeing the grave. “Ethan, please!”
“Oh, don’t go! That would ruin the party.” A voice called out from a nearby tree. A man stepped out of the shadows and began to work his way through the grave stones toward us. I scrambled up, putting myself in front of Sarah. As he came closer I saw that he was wearing a trench coat, all black, and had a hat pulled over his face. Not only was his appearance eerie, but his voice was razor-sharp and cold, almost sinister.
“Who are you? What do あなた want?” I asked coldly. The man’s lips pulled up into a smirk and he let out an unsettling and definitely evil laugh.
“Oh Ethan, あなた know me. または at least, I know you.” he answered. I started to back up nervously, taking Sarah with me. “Don’t do that! You’ll only make this harder on yourself. Not to mention get the girl involved and I’m sure あなた don’t want to do that.”
“Run.” I whispered so the man wouldn’t hear. “And don’t stop until あなた find help.”
I could feel Sarah shaking her head behind me. “No, I’m not leaving you.”
I opened my mouth to retaliate and the man sighed. “Let’s cut to the chase. Now Ethan, I know あなた recently ロスト your mother, but あなた don’t really know how または why…do you?.” I froze and looked warily at him. “I know what you’re going to ask. ‘How did あなた know that, blah, blah, blah.’ Well, sadly enough, it was me, I killed her.”
I open my mouth again but nothing came out. This man had killed my mother? He’s the one who tore my family apart? He’s the reason for all of this? Rage washed through me, and a desire for revenge. I tried to say something fierce, something that would give me an upper hand. But all that came out was a weak “Why?”
“Well it’s complicated.” The man 発言しました continuing to walk towards us. “She was in the way of my plan. She refused to give me what I wanted, so she paid for it.”
I curled my hands into fists. This guy was a lunatic, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of 表示中 fear. “I’m going to ask あなた one もっと見る time. What do あなた want?”
“You, of course. Well, あなた dead, actually. That’s all I ever wanted and it’s taken me too long to get it.” The man hissed. “So I suggest that あなた tell your little friend to run. あなた wouldn’t want her hurt, would you?”
Without a thought, I lunged フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして tackling him. Together, we fell to the ground in the heap, rolling over the grass, throwing punches in each other’s face. I wasn’t the type of person to get in a fight, but standing in front of the man who killed my mom, had the nerve to threaten Sarah, and put my life in danger, I ロスト it.
Neither of us could land a hit, though there was no lack of trying. It was so dark, I could barely see his face. My back hit a tree, allowing the crazy man to get on 上, ページのトップへ of me and press his fingers into my throat. My air supply was cut off and I gasped for breath that wouldn’t come. My vision started to get fuzzy; the only thing I could hear was the man’s maniacal laugh and Sarah’s screams. Then suddenly air rushed into my lungs and there was the sound of rock hitting flesh. The man was holding his hands to his nose, blood gushing from his fingers.
“How dare you?” he roared at Sarah, who had obviously thrown the rock at his face. The man glared at me. “So much for leaving your girlfriend out of this.”
He moved so quickly that she didn’t even see it coming. Sarah fell back as the man slapped her cheek with such force that it rang out through the cemetery. He pulled out a ナイフ that glinted in the darkness and held it to her chest. I couldn’t let this happen. There was no way. It took all my strength but I leaped up and knocked the man sideways, kicking the ナイフ out of his hand. He screamed and punched me in the face, my nose cracking under his fist. I fell to my knees, trying to get up, but there seemed to be no strength left in my body. The man had picked up the ナイフ and was standing over me. “Goodbye Ethan. It looks like you’ll be going the same way as your mother,” He whispered.
Time slowed as the ナイフ flew towards me, but there was nothing I could do to save me または Sarah. It slammed into my stomach and I buckled forward, staring at the ナイフ in my stomach. It looked almost dreamlike sticking out the way it was. But I knew it wasn’t a dream, because I felt every inch of the blade. The last thing I heard before my vision dissolved was a heart-wrenching cry and some very sinister laughter.
“Ethan, please wake up, あなた have to wake up.” Sarah voice rang in my ear. I blinked, the shapes and colours of the darkness slowly starting to reform around me. Sarah was kneeling 次 to me with tears streaming down her face. When she saw that my eyes were open she threw her arms around my shoulders. “Thank the gods, you’re alive.”
“What happened?” I croaked. My voice sounded tinny and hoarse. My mind flashed back to the last thing I remembered. The man, the knife, my stomach. I looked down and saw that the ナイフ was gone but blood stained my シャツ and the surrounding grass. I winced as the pain returned in full force.
“It was so confusing,” Sarah whispered. “He stabbed あなた and then started to come towards me, but then this other guy stepped out of the shadows, grabbed the first man, and dragged him away. It made no sense. I have no clue who either of them were. And then あなた were lying there not moving and there was so much blood!”
I put my finger to her lips. “Shhh, it’s okay. They’re gone now.”
“But then the guy that took away that man said, he came back and he-he 発言しました that there wouldn’t be any trouble from now on. I didn’t know what to do. I called 911 and managed to get the ナイフ out of you.” Sarah gulped and pointed to the 草 where I could barely see the silver of the blade. “But you’ve been unconscious for what has felt like forever. I was so scared that あなた wouldn’t wake up.”
I ran my hand through her hair, trying to calm her down. There was so much about this night that I didn’t know and didn’t get – but that could wait. “It’ll be okay Sarah. The paramedics will be here soon, I’ll be fine. I’m so sorry that I brought あなた here. It’s all my fault. I understand what あなた were trying to tell me now, a little too late, but I do.”
Sarah sniffled. “That’s good. I’m just glad you’re alive. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
I grabbed her hand and she lay down 次 to me, resting her head on my shoulder. “Ironic isn’t it, that I came here for the simple reason of saying goodbye, and end up in this giant mess? It’s definitely not what I expected.”
Sarah gave a weak laugh into my hair. I looked over at the ナイフ that was still lying in the grass; the thing that had screwed up my life, in もっと見る ways than one now. It had some of my blood on it, looking black in the moonlight. I thought about what Sarah had 発言しました and realized how foolish I had been, thinking that I could keep my mother close によって coming here every night. Look what it had caused. What I needed now was to remember everything we had shared and all that she had done for me; that was how I would hold onto her. Sarah and I lay there until we heard sirens in the distance, staring at the stars.

The sun fell on Amber's face and she woke up によって the heat of it. She rubbed her eyes, trying to orientate, as she saw a man sitting 次 to her. He looked familiar. As she tried to recall she felt an insistent pain in her neck. She lay her hand on it, to see what it was.
"I bit you, that's why you're in pain" Stefan explained. Amber looked at him. "Who are you?" she asked, crawling backwards. Stefan reached out his hand. "I'm here to help you" he 発言しました softly.
Amber shook her head. "No, stay away from me!" she 発言しました terrified. Stefan didn't 移動する an inch. "You need help. You're in transition, it's not a nice feeling if あなた don't feed anytime soon. I bet you're starving" he said.
Amber shook her head heavily as her stomach rattled. "I'm going home" she 発言しました with a breaking voice. "Leave me alone!" She scribbled up and staggered away from Stefan.
