As a way to kick off the club, I present this guide to the films of the ディズニー Revival Era.
*Updated 03/03/18

Contentious
There is no doubt that ディズニー has been on a hot streak for the last few years, but discussions about which film started it all are common among ディズニー ファン today. The following three films are sometimes considered part of the era, but this is subject to debate.

Meet the Robinsons (2007)
Walt ディズニー アニメーション Studio's 秒 all-computer animated film Meet the Robinsons was released in 2007. It was something of a financial disappointment, but it fared a little better with critics and audiences than the studio's 前 film.

Bolt (2008)
The following 年 saw the release of their third CG film, which opened to much greater success than its predecessor. Bolt, the first of their films under John Lasseter's guidance, grossed over $300 million worldwide and was generally well received.

The Princess and the Frog (2009)
ディズニー showed a return to form with this adaptation of the classic story The Frog Prince. The film is set in 1920's New Orleans, making it the first ディズニー fairytale to be set in semi-contemporary times and to feature an African American female lead. The Princess and the Frog received mostly positive reviews, but did not draw in quite the numbers the studio hoped for. This has been attributed to the title, which is thought to have pushed away male audiences.

Definite
The following films are often considered to be films of the era.

Tangled (2010)
Tangled was the studio's biggest financial and critical success since the ディズニー Renaissance, grossing $592 million worldwide and receiving an Academy Award nomination for best original song. This is one of the most expensive films ever made due to its アニメーション budget, which combines the CG style with traditional techniques and carried over to their future CG films.

Winnie the Pooh (2011)
Disney's last traditionally-animated movie (at least for now) was released the 次 summer. It was liked によって critics but was only a modest success, likely due to heavy competition from other movies.

Wreck-It Ralph (2012)
Another fairly big success for Disney, Wreck-It Ralph grossed just over $471 million and was liked によって audiences and critics. It stands as one of their most successful original 映画 (i.e. not based off of a pre-existing story) and was nominated for the Academy Award for best animated feature.

Frozen (2013)
The massive success of Frozen was unprecedented. Although it was overexposed in media, the film was loved によって audiences and praised によって critics, and is well-known for its soundtrack. The movie is currently the most successful animated feature, grossing $1.2 billion and setting the record for most Blu-ray sales. It also gave Walt ディズニー Animation's first win for the best animated feature Oscar, along with a win for best original song with "Let it Go."

Big Hero 6 (2014)
The studio followed up their massive hit with another successful computer-animated film. Based off of a lesser known Marvel comic, Big Hero 6 was, much like the former "CG giants," a financial and critical success, earning over $650 million worldwide and winning for best animated feature at the Academy Awards.

Zootopia (2016)
ディズニー saw another of their animated films reach one billion dollars at the box office with Zootopia, a contemporary anthropomorphic film that widely appealed to critics and audiences for its relevant social themes. It took ホーム the best animated feature award at both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

Moana (2016)
This 年 was one of the very few in Disney's history where two animated films were released. Their 秒 entry of the year, Moana, was again met with positive reviews and financial success. The movie made about $643 million worldwide. It was also recognized at the Golden Globes and the Oscars, where it was nominated for best animated feature and best original song.

Upcoming
Below are the upcoming ディズニー films. As of now, they can be thought to be part of this era, but only time will tell if they belong here または if they are part of a new period in Disney's history.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 (November 21, 2018)
Coming soon is one of the very few sequels in the Walt ディズニー animated canon. Ralph Breaks the Internet will be their first sequel since Fantasia 2000.

Untitled アナと雪の女王 sequel (November 27, 2019)
This was the first confirmed sequel of the Revival Era, and it is set to come out exactly six years after the original. The original directors and some of the voice cast are already known to be returning for the film.

Shelved
One film has been shelved until further notice.

Gigantic
This musical adaptation of "Jack and the Beanstalk" was originally slated for a 2016 release, but swapped places with Moana, meaning a new 2018 release. Last year, the film was pushed back again to 2020 until ディズニー announced that the film was shelved.

And there we have it! Now I'll leave off on this question: How should we decide which film begins the ディズニー Revival era? Which movie do あなた believe is the first and why? Any and all コメント are welcome. Thank あなた for reading!
So here's the most talked about movie in Disney's Revival Era, actually, probably in ディズニー History. My opinion on it is kind of mixed as あなた will see in this review so, bare with me.

First Impression

The very first commercial I was just meh about, but the もっと見る the commercials came out and the もっと見る people talked about it, I was really excited. I know when I first watched it I was a bit underwhelmed. I mean, I really enjoyed it, especially the sisterly relationship, but I don't think it was a flawless masterpiece. But let's be honest, most 映画 aren't.

I will go もっと見る in depth in the review....

So this is the third review I've done on this club, which means after this leaves Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana. But right now we will focus on Wreck it Ralph. I will do the same categories as the other two reviews.

First Impression

This movie, I was actually really interested and excited to see, and although I wasn't blown away, I certainly wasn't disappointed either. From the first commercial I saw, I knew it would be a really creative plot, and I was right!

Characters

In my opinion, the characters wasn't the best part of the movie, as I found the whole universe もっと見る interesting,...

Hey! It's me again! This is my 秒 review, as I am going to review each movie in the Revival Era. The first was The Princess and the Frog and now I'm reviewing Tangled!. This movie is actually pretty popular, but anyways here we go:

First Impression

When I first saw the プレビュー for Tangled, I wasn't particular excited, but I also didn't get that into ディズニー until my teenage years, which was a few years later. However, I was genuinely surprised of how much I enjoyed it. I thought it was a great movie, and I still find myself watching over and over again.

I still cry when Eugene dies....but...

Hello! This is WinterSpirit809, and I want to review each of the ディズニー Revival Era movies, starting with the one that officially kicked off the era The Princess and the Frog, which was released in 2010. I know this movie has gotten mixed reviews, though I know Tumblr loved it, but I don't like to use Tumblr as an example too much, because it's just so...Tumblr. But here is my personal opinion on it.

First Impression

The commercial and the movie came out when I was around nine, so it's hard to remember how I felt about watching it. I remembered it being one of those things I wanted to watch,...

My current icon might be a clue...that I'm going to count the movies since TPatF.
Walt ディズニー アニメーション has been on a roll for the past several years, and for me, none of these 最近 映画 has disappointed. I'm a ファン of most of them, and today I'm going to be counting down my お気に入り of the era. This is not a 一覧 of which ones I think are the best; these are the ones that I personally get the most enjoyment from watching and those that stick out the most in my mind.

8. Winnie the Pooh, 2011
While I thoroughly enjoyed the studio's two 前 films, I didn't see a need to check this out in theaters. Even so, I was curious about it and caught it online within a 年 of...
