I’d love to hear Floor Jansen sing The Poet and the Pendulum.

I just saw the album cover for the upcoming Xandria album. It looks great and I’m so curious to hear it!

I really miss Sharon’s beautiful dramatic dresses. I remember reading somewhere she had a degree in fashion and that’s why she designed her own dresses. I hope she still designs her outfits because she’s very good at it.

I love Within Temptation and all, but I think “Paradise” is a completely generic song. If it didn’t have Tarja in it, people wouldn’t think it was all that great.

I have to question Nightwish fans who have never heard of Floor Jansen before. Why have you never heard of Floor before? Is Tarja all you ever listen to? If you love symphonic metal so much, then surely you’ve heard of After Forever at least once. This was the band Floor sang in before starting her own band (ReVamp) and eventually becoming the new singer for Nightwish.

First of all, I don't see what's up with all this "Paradise" hate. I really liked the song and I think the meaning behind it is very realistic. Who cares if it had Tarja in it, or not? People still would have liked it because it's a good song. Sharon's a wonderful singer and just because Tarja's voice wouldn't be in, fans would have still liked it. Oh and there's also the insane idea that maybe we just like it because, well, I don't know, maybe we're fans of Within Temptation. *le gasp*

And what's up with the last one? "I have to question"...how? Who cares if they've heard of Floor or not. Does that make them any less of a fan of Nightwish, or symphonic metal? Hell no! There are a lot of bands I haven't heard of/listened to yet, but that doesn't make me some sinner against metal. "Is Tarja all you listen to?" Wow that's like, a huge fucking assumption. I'm assuming they're referring to Nightwish itself, but, again: who cares! So what if they liked Tarja's era the best? I do! And really, I didn't even like "Once" or "Century Child" that much. Am I less of a Nightwish fan? No. I gave Anette a try, but I really didn't like what I heard, so of course I'm just going to listen to the stuff I like from the band. And if they're referring just in general, again, who gives a fuck? If they want to listen to Tarja--let 'em! Instead of being a total asshole, why don't you introduce these "lesser" Nightwish fans to some of Floor's stuff, so they can make their own assumptions about her (Instead of completely bashing upon people just because they know a little less than you).

I know right, I loved Paradise. I just think some WT fans are butthurt that she changed her music style. I know I would have loved it no matter what. Right exactly, believe it or not, some people actually, I don't know, like all of Sharon's work.

It bothers me more because I knew her quite a while before she joined Nightwish, but all these fans can act like we all discovered her together. How hipster-sounding, I know...
